Notes on prices
The minimum rental period is 1 month. Refundable deposit of £500 required. 50% of the rental is payable 60 days before arrival and 50% at 15 days. Cleaning and management cost is £170. Temporary membership of the golf club is available and the club charges £130 to transfer the membership. Rentals are paid by credit/debit card via Paypal. Credit card fee is 4%. Florida Sales tax of 11% applies for rentals of less than 6 months. Note: until confirmed, rates are subject to change without notice.
Changeover day
Changeover days are flexible. Full instructions and directions are normally sent 2 weeks before the visit and after the rental has been paid.

Notes on accommodation
This 2400 square feet home is bright, spacious and has large rooms with full air-conditioning, heating, ceiling fans and copious storage. The comfortable Great Room has 2 sofas and recliner armchair, a buffet and an entertainment center, with 32-inch flat screen TV, DVD/VCR player and Sony CD, tape and radio system. Double sliding doors lead to the 28' private pool and spa. The lanai is furnished with a gas barbecue and an additional dining suite for 6 people for elegant dining poolside. Casual chairs and loungers are also available for more informal relaxation and entertaining.
The fully-equipped kitchen includes a Whirlpool Gold double door fridge and freezer with indoor water and ice-maker and a breakfast bar with chairs. Next to the kitchen is the Morning Room with a dining suite seating 6 people. A separate utility room has Kitchen Aid washing machine and dryer, and links the kitchen with the double garage.

Outside
The house has a private and spectacular pool and spa to the rear with lake and golf course views. Both the pool and spa can be heated. The pool has a removable child protection barrier. The pool deck has a covered area with a dining table with seating for 6 people and a gas-fired barbecue. There are chairs and loungers for more casual relaxation. Eating outside is common throughout the year. The house is not overlooked and the neighbourhood is tranquil. It is very suitable and safe for children.
Coast/Beach
7 miles from beautiful Fort Myers Beach with its 7 miles of pink sand and every kind of watersport activities; 12 miles from Sanibel Island, world-famous for its beaches, shells, restaurants and wildlife park and 21 miles from Captiva Island, with its beaches, ocean-side golf course, sailing and fishing. There is a daily ferry from Fort Myers which takes about 3 hours to reach Key West.
Golf
The excellent Crown Colony Golf and Country Club has a beautifully maintained 18-hole championship golf course, designed by Ron Garl, with club house, lighted tennis courts, well equipped fitness centre and expansive pool. The clubhouse is a short walk away and features formal and casual dining, casual grille, bar and well-stocked pro shop. Temporary membership of the Golf and Country Club is available for all guests who lease the villa,allowing unlimited golf on the award winning course. The Club charges a one-time fee of $200 to transfer the membership. The Club also has reciprocal facilities with 35 golf clubs in the Fort Myers/Naples area.
Travel
11 miles from Fort Myers International Airport, with connecting flights to all main centres; 160 miles (2 1/2 hour drive along I75) from Tampa International Airport with direct non-stop flights from London and major continental airports.
Distances
Crown Colony is 400 yards from local shops, including a major supermarket, and 600 yards from the Lee Memorial Health Park. Just a short drive (15 minutes) away are numerous cinemas and restaurants, the Edison Ford Home and Gardens, the Edison and Bell Tower Shopping Malls, with concerts and theatre at the Barbara Mann Arts Center. Further afield are the Designer Shopping Outlet stores at Sanibel and Miromar (about 30 minutes). Naples is an hour's drive and has world-class shopping and dining.
Further details
The local shops are very good including an excellent Publix supermarket with a full range of groceries and fresh food. Also there are pharmacies, banks, restaurants and other services in the complex and, a little further on, is a fine hardware store, dry-cleaning service and other facilities.
