This historic 3 br/ 2 bth cottage is situated on the snead island cut and has great views of the manatee river and some awesome sunsets. Sit on the dock or private beach and watch the boats, dolphins and manatees go by or get on a bike or kayak and go to the 360 acre emerson point park which has historic indian mounds and scenic trails and white sand beaches. Bring your boat or arrange for a rental and keep it at the private dock. Sarasota, st pete and tampa are close by for shopping, art and culture. Tampa airport is only 45 min away and orlando 90 min away. Great restaurants are close by and convenient shopping at the outlet mall, only 15 min away. We have cable tv in all the rooms and wyfi available throughout the property.

Notes on accommodation
2 bedrooms and a full bath are in the main house, and the 3rd bedroom and 2nd bath are in a separate , attached room.
Accessibility
The cottage is built up a few feet off the ground, so there are 2 steps to get into the doors. The 3rd bedroom does not have steps for access.
Outside
A private beach overlooking the Cut and dock are great places to sit and watch the world go by or to have a nice beverage at the end of a great day. We also have a separate Kayak/canoe dock to make using these boats much easier.
Coast/Beach
Dr Beach says that the number 1 beach in the US is Siesta Key and it is only 30 miles away.
Golf
There are 4 great golf courses located within a 15 min drive and a many more in the surrounding communities. We are on the SW coast of Florida where Golf is king, year round.
Special interest holidays
Emerson point Park is only a mile away and can be accessed via bike, walking, car, or boat. It has great trails lots of nature, wildlife, 2 beaches, Indian mounds and lookout tower. You can see, Tampa Bay, Anna Maria Island, Egmont key, and downtown St Petersburg from the lookout tower.
Travel
Tampa airport is 45 minutes away and Sarasota is only 25 minutes away.. Orlando Airport is 90 minutes away.

About the owner
My wife and I have lived in Florida for most of our lives. We have raised our 3 children on Snead Island and thoroughly love the west coast of Florida. We bought this cottage a few years ago and decided it was the perfect spot for people to vacation. It is close to everything and we just love meeting all the guests from around the country and the world. We love it and we know you will as well. Please come join us in Paradise.

Unique benefits of the property
The Cut House sits in between Terra Ceia Bay and the Manatee River, just 1.5 miles from Tampa Bay and direct access to the Gulf of Mexico. The water access is great and the access to nice restaurants, shopping, museums, and cultural activities is perfect. We are close to St Petersburg, Tampa , Sarasota, Orlando, Anna Maria Island, and the beach Named #1 by Dr Beach, Siesta Key. There is a great park within walking , biking or kayaking distance away.
