Our villa is situated on the Gulf Coast of Florida in a town called Sarasota. Beaches are a plenty. Siesta Key is 15 minutes drive from the Villa and is famous for its white sands. Lido Key is a tropical paradise. There are so many beaches to choose from. Golf, fishing and horseriding are a few of the activities close by. Cycling - bikes can be hired locally to visit the 'Legacy Trail'. Myakka State Park is about a 15 minute drive from the villa. Great for camping, cycling, fishing, boat rides and alligator spotting! Malls are all close by. Prime Outlets is a 25 minute drive. Many restaurants close by; Chilli's, Carrabas, Olive Garden and lots more to choose from. Supermarkets are 5 minutes drive away.

Bedrooms: Master bedroom with super king size bed and spacious en-suite.
Bedroom 2 has a double bed.
Bedroom 3 has two twin beds.
The den has a futon which can be converted into a double bed if required.
Bathrooms: En-suite bathroom to master bedroom.
Separate WC, double sink, large bath and separate shower.
Family bathroom with bath/shower over, WC.
Kitchen: The kitchen is fully fitted and equipped. It has a dishwasher, cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer. Kettle, toaster and iron.
Fully equipped with pots and pans, cutlery, crockery and glasses. Plastic glasses and plates for poolside use.
Utility Room: The utility room includes a washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board, and vacuum cleaner.
Living Rooms: The living room is large and spacious. It has two large sofas and the futon can be used for extra seating. It has a large TV and DVD. Also a CD hi fi system, books and maps. Next to living room is the den. There is a formal and an informal dining area.
Other: Also a breakfast bar with bar stools. The Den is a separate room off of the living room. This contains the futon which can be converted into a double bed if required. There is high speed internet access unit in the den area.

Towels, beach towels and all linens are provided. The villa is cleaned and checked upon departure only. Further cleaning can be carried out upon request for an extra charge.

Notes on accommodation
The Villa is suitable for families with children. Children must be supervised at all times while in the pool area. No glass to be used in the pool area at any time.
The Villa is spacious and private. It is 2,800 sq.ft.
It is fully air conditioned.
Telephone - local calls are free, all other calls require a phone card available from local stores.
No smoking in the villa or pool area.
No pets.

Accessibility
The villa is suitable for wheelchair users. It is all on one level and easy access through large double front doors.

Outside
The pool is a private, screened pool. It is also maintained weekly. The pool area gets the sun all day long. The lanai is shaded which makes dining outside much more comfortable, there is also an outside ceiling fan and lighting. There is a table and 6 chairs, although the informal dining chairs can be used outside. There are sunloungers and a sun table.
There is also a lovely garden area which is just beyond the screened pool.
The large double garage has a charcoal BBQ. Also contains pool toys and beach equipment. 2 children's bikes also available for use. Also a high chair and travel cot are available for use. Guests please provide their own bedding for the cot.

Coast/Beach
Siesta Key voted #1 beach in USA 2011. All beaches are a short drive away.
Siesta Key about 15 minute drive - is famous for it's amazing white sands. It also has BBQ areas and a children's playground. Lido Key - a tropical paradise. Lido beach is a beautiful beach just a short walk from St Armand's Circle. Here there are many boutiques and restaurants. Turtle beach, Venice beach are about 20 minute drive.
Nokomis beach is a must to explore, drum nights on Saturday nights are a must!

Golf
There are dozens of excellent golf courses all within a short drive from the Villa. Sarasota is well known for having some of the most beautiful courses in Florida.

Travel
Car Hire is essential.
The nearest airport from UK is Tampa airport. It is approximately a one hour drive to our villa.
Orlando airport is about 2 hours drive.
Miami airport is a 4 hour drive.
The best car hire companies are Alamo, Avis, Budget and Dollar. Dollar has the cars 'on airport' location.
Sarasota/Bradenton airport is approx a 20 minute drive away. US internal flights only.

Distances
Orlando Parks, such as Disney, Discovery Cove, Seaworld, Epcot centre, Universal Studios etc are about a 2 hour drive.

Busch Gardens and Adventure Island theme parks are about a 1 hour drive.

NASA Kennedy Space centre is about a 3 hour drive.

All these places are great to visit for a day or so, but it is lovely to get back to the quiet pace of Sarasota.

Further details
Restaurants:
There are so many restaurants to choose from. Some are a 5 - 10 minute drive such as:
Chili's, Applebees - both of which are diner style.
Denny's is an ultimate diner and great for big American breakfasts and pancakes.
Carrabas, Olive Garden and Bonfish Grill all serve delicious food and get very busy. Best to arrive early to avoid queueing.
Marina Jack's is a lovely restaurant that caters for all needs. It is overlooking Sarasota Bay and has outside informal dining as well as more upmarket fine dining.
Abodes is a local Mexican restaurant.
Outback Steakhouse is the closest grill restaurant.

On US41, which is a 10 minute drive from the Villa, there are an abundance of fabulous restaurants.
Also Red Lobster and Steak houses galore.

In the areas around Sarasota old town you will find the independent small family run restaurants.
Siesta Key has many restaurants to choose from including Daiquairi Deck and many ice cream parlours.

Supermarkets:
The local main supermarket is Publix.
This is a 5 minute drive from the villa.
There is also a Walgreens next to Publix and one within a few minutes drive of the Villa.

Banks:
Bank of America is situated across the car park from the main Publix supermarket.

Livingstones is a large arcade style store which is about a 5-10 minute drive from the Villa. It also has a go cart track inside.

Horseriding and boat tours can be booked up easily and are close by.
Captain Kim's boat tours are great for children and located at Cortez. This is about a half hour drive but worth a visit. The family run cafe serves the best grouper sandwich in Sarasota!

£200 refundable security deposit required. This is returned in full once the Villa has been checked and the key returned. 20% deposit to secure booking.
Balance of payment 8 weeks prior to arrival.
7 nights min stay - single week supplementary charge £50 pppw. Payment can be made in UK£ or USA$. Flexible mid week arrivals.

Hi, my name is Carrie and I rent out our holiday home in sunny Sarasota. My husband Neil and I love Sarasota and everything about it. We have two children who adore nothing more than jumping in our lovely pool on a hot sunny Floridian day. We are fair and honest people who like to treat our guests as we would like to be treated ourselves. We have been renters in many houses in Sarasota before we decided to buy our own home. We picked up on the things we liked and we didn't like about other rentals, and hope to bring the best to our rental home.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We bought our house in Sarasota in 2004. We viewed many properties before falling in love with our home. We chose this house because it is in a very quiet and secluded no through road. It is spacious, light and airy. It's very well maintained and all the houses are well looked after. It is a short drive to the beach, restaurants, shops and airport. Although the house is close to major roads, it is very quiet and peaceful. Best of both worlds! We didn't buy the house to 'max out' the rentals. We bought it as a second family home to enjoy as much as we can. We decided to rent it out to like minded families when we were not able to be there ourselves. We have had so many positive comments from every guest who has stayed in our home. We love it and are sure you will too.

Unique benefits of the property
The area our house is in is considered more of an upmarket area of Sarasota. It is not on a large estate like many other of the rental homes and has an feeling of individuality about it. All the residents of the road are very proud of their homes and the community we live in. We are extremely proud to live in this delightful road. The house is situated within close distance to everything a holidaymaker would need. A short drive will get you to the beaches, supermarkets and fabulous restaurants close by. But the house is set back and away from all the hustle and bustle. If you are looking for privacy, peaceful pool area, very comfortable home and a close proximity to everything that is happening in Sarasota then our house will meet your needs.
