We are a short scenic above ground ride to the city. Arrive in Grand Central in 12 minutes, 8 minutes to Penn station if you take the commuter rail. Everything is close and within walking distance. You do not need a car.

Notes on accommodation
These are new town homes built in 2006, so they remain fairly new. Respecting the environment is important to us, so when we can we have decorated with green and sustainable materials.

Accessibility
We are very close to everything, and the distance to the train is a breeze. More importantly distance to Manhattan is quick and scenic, as it is mostly an above ground ride, so there is the skyline to see on the way in, you won't be riding in a dark tunnel.
Outside
Historically Woodside has been a very Irish neighbohood, we still have over 7 Irish bars within walking distance. Over time many other families have moved in diversifying the neighbourhood. It remains family oriented and friendly.
Coast/Beach
The Long Island Railroad aAlso stops at our train station, so even with out a car you can access New York’s best beaches, during your visit, why not stop by east Hampton and Montauk?
Golf
Most people who stay here, come again. They love the proximity to everything and the joyful ride into the city. You are so close yet far enough away to be removed from the hustle and bustle.

4 miles to city. 20 minutes to JFK. Minutes to Penn station on the Long Island rail road. 10-15 minutes to Central Park, Grand Central station and Time Square.
Further details
Again for the space and money you will save there is no comparison. You are so close to the city and yet so far away. We have three bedroom 2 bath units that also have living rooms separate from the bedrooms. If you are coming from Europe you will appreciate all the space. You will not walk into each other. Again we are booking quickly for the New Year and are usually sold out by February. so please do not hesitate.

‘We travel around the world quite a bit but this was our first ever visit to New York and we had planned to stay to the centre like most people then while looking for hotels we came across this gem in woodside - great transport links 5 minute walk to woodside station for train or subway. 15 minutes from JFK by car and the airtrain goes from the station. if you want a true feeling of NYC, its people and suburbs this place is great. Always felt safe anytime of day. The property was exactly as described we all really enjoyed ourselves, its comfortable, large and roomy, clean well equipped and has plenty of information. The owners are real friendly provide you with all the information on the area that you need - great restaurants etc and they are there if you need them but never pester you - i love that bit! it has character and we will definitely return, like a home from home Thanks Grace and Tony you made a great visit better’
