This is a spacious quiet, 1 bed apartment, 1184 SQ feet in total and therefore gives you that feeling of lots of space around you. The balcony overlooks beautifully landscaped gardens with childrens play areas and chic designer fountains dotted all over. Great for taking an evening stroll. The location is perfect for a truly romantic break or for that much needed getaway if you are a family of up to 4. The apartment is fully air conditioned and very suitable for people with children as it has wooden furniture and leather sofas. Free internet access and local tel calls. A week spent in this apartment leaves you feeling relaxed, calm and fully revitalised. Quiet corridor adds to the get away from it all experience.

Coast/Beach
5 min walk from apartment owners private beach - this beautiful gated white sand beach is gently shelved and perfectly manicured (raked daily) . Never overcrowded as most of the residents are at work during the working day! There are separate adult pool and separate childrens pools with beach clubs and outdoor showers. Drinks bars and restaurants provide you with that cooling drink!

2 golf courses within 10 mins from the apartment.

Skiing
Indoor ski dome at Emirates Mall, 10 mins away for those who miss home.

Special interest holidays
Take your favourite dress, pick out the most gorgeous fabric from one of the textile souks, and have it hand made to fit you like a glove by one of the many skilled tailors! Dubai duty free shopping is world renowned - Emirate Mall. Go camping overnight in the desert, enjoy a BBQ meal under the stars whilst watching some belly dancing. Take a romantic dinner cruise down the creek for some dazzling night time scenery or an hours trip from the Marina out to the Palm Island and surrounding waters.

Travel
Car hire is recommended but not essential as there are plenty of taxis around (comparatively cheap), especially as secure underground parking is free. From September 09 Dubais monorail will be in operation and this will make getting around town easier.

Distances
The Palm Island is about a 25 mins drive to downtown during most times of the day and a 5 min drive from Dubai Marina.

Further details
Waitrose is now open in Dubai Marina Mall (5 min drive), Carrefour and Geant are all large supermarket stores from where all your household and grocery procuts can be purchased. There is also a local convenient store less than a 1 min walk from the apartment.

Booking notes
A fully refundable damage deposit of 2000 AED is required at arrival as a manual authorisation only, if the apartment is left as found the slip is destroyed and not processed.

Belinda M, April "My husband and i stayed at this apartment for 8 nights in April 09 and had the time of our lives! The apartment is just as beautiful as the pictures show but best of all is only a couple of minutes walk to a gorgeous private beach (had to remember swipe card as beach is private access only). Beach was the idyllic place for us to relax, catch the sun and go for a swim in the sea/swimming pools. Owner provided useful suggestions and information before arrival and we were met by a check-in contact at the apartment even though we arrived at 2:30am! work so there wasnt any noise disruption and it didn't spoil our holiday. The water park Aquaventure on Palm island is awesome! loved the wooden dhow trip that leaves from the marina (evening cruise is more romantic), even manage to get a silk dress copied exactly!"

About the owner
We bought this apartment as we found ourselves returning to Dubai annually for our holidays and so when the Palm Island development was made available it was irresistible. We loved the idea of being on the 8th wonder of the world and having that private beach was unbelievable.
