This villa provides good accommodation for six. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, two having double beds and one with two single beds. There is one en-suite bathroom and a second for the other two bedrooms, in which there is also a washing machine. Downstairs there is a fully equipped kitchen, with fridge, freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Next to the kitchen is a dining area, with a table and chairs. There is then a good open space with sofas and small tables, which in turn leads to the terrace through two french windows and where there are more chairs, tables and outside sofas. Here there is also a barbecue, built in to the side wall. Back inside there is a television, a fireplace (definitely not needed in the summer) and a cloakroom.

Notes on accommodation
The Patara Prince Resort has 24 hour security with barrier entrance, guards and security patrols.
Accessibility
The resort is built on the hillside and leads down to the sea, giving wonderful views, but also some steep slopes and steps. These will present wheelchair users with difficulty and is not therefore suitable for them. For the reasonably mobile there should be no difficulty, but in any case there is a shuttle bus available to all, which runs throughout the day and evening, from the main pool area to the top of the resort..
Outside
The Patara Prince resort has wonderful gardens and is a beautiful place to visit in its own right. Go to www.pataraprince.com to see more about the resort. As a user of the villa you have full access to all the hotel's facilities, swimming pools, restaurants and bars. The hotel has its own beauty centre and spa, available to villa users.
Coast/Beach
The resort has its own private 200 metre long waterfront for bathing and snorkelling, a diving and water ski centre and a range of other water sports. Kaputas Beach is close by and Patara Beach 20 mins by car/dolmus, with 18km of golden sand. Kalkan has a small beach by the harbour.
Special interest holidays
The resort's private scuba diving school is available to guests. Courses offer internationally recognised certification, catering for all standards. For inexperienced and beginners, lessons are carried out in the calm waters of Kalkan Bay. For the more experienced, boat trips to nearby dive sites for wall, reef, cave, night, deep stream, antique amphora and ship wreck dives are available. The coast around Kalkan has some of the best wrecks and marine life in the world (including endangered Loggerhead and Green Turtles as their breeding ground is nearby). The sea water quality is superb having been awarded Blue Flag status. Dolphins can also be spotted in the bay from time to time. 1, 2 and 3 day luxury Gullet Cruise dive excursions exploring local islands, secluded sea caves, coves and beaches can be arranged through local tour operators
Travel
Dalaman is the airport used by most visitors. Direct flights from the UK take approximately 4 hours. Transfers from Dalaman take approximately 90 minutes or alternatively car rental is available.
Mini buses (called Dolmus) are an inexpensive way of exploring the region and operate between Kalkan and local beaches, towns and places of interest.
Distances
Kalkan is a 3 minute drive from the Patara Prince Resort, or a pleasant walk. For fun take a boat trip on the resort's private water taxi which runs to Kalkan harbour and back throughout the day. Taxis can be booked at the hotel reception. There are several historical sites within easy reach of Kalkan, plus amazing sandy beaches and secluded coves only a short distance away, including Patara Beach, voted one of the world's best beaches in the Sunday Times.
Further details
Choice is the key word. You can self cater as the villa has all the facilities you need. There is a large food market every Thursday in Kalkan, there are fruit and vegetable shops, a daily fish market and supermarkets as well. There is also a small shop immediately above the resort. Alternatively you can eat at the hotel's restaurants at any time (and you get a 25% discount on all food). However, Kalkan has a vast choice of rooftop and waterfront restaurants and bars which give stunning views of the sunset over the bay, the night time moon and the stars. So you can mix and match according to your preferences and budget.
There are several banks with ATM, a local English speaking doctor and pharmacies. There is an abundance of ancient historical sites within easy reach of Kalkan. Xanthos, Patara and Myra, the home of St. Nicholas, being just a few. Take a Gullet boat trip to the sunken city of Kekova. The gorge at Saklikent provides another area for walking and river rafting. You can take a jeep safari up the mountains. A para-gliding centre is also nearby.

“I just wanted to say thank you very much for the use of your villa over the last few weeks. The view was amazing, looking out at that beautiful blue sea every day was bliss! We had a really lovely, totally relaxing time. Kalkan is beautiful esp at night and the restaurants are fantastic. Wall to wall sunshine lived up to expectations, when we got home the sky was a very unusual shade of blue! We were only sorry to have to come home “
