‘Villa Nergis’ is situated 3km from the pretty and historic village of Gumusluk, famous for its sea front restaurants and cafes where fresh fish is in abundance. The villa has stunning panoramic sea and sunset views taking in the Greek islands of Kos, Kalymnos, Leros and Samos. The interior of the villa is very spacious, light and airy with windows and glass doors to the front of the property affording views of the Aegean sea from the living area and 3 of the 5 bedrooms. The large marble terraces appeal equally to sun-worshippers and shade lovers with large open spaces for sunbathing and pergola-covered shaded areas for sitting and al-fresco dining. Guests have use of a fabulous swimming pool which has magnificent views of the Aegean Sea.

Changeover day is flexible. Please enquire about your preferred date of arrival and departure and we will do our best to accommodate your requirements.

The swimming pool is open from mid June until mid October. Bookings are welcome for stays outside of this period. Please enquire if interested.
Outside
The villa is set in its own garden. It has a large marble terrace with shaded pergola. There is a large pergola-covered terrace upstairs. Sunbeds are provided for use on the terraces. There is outdoor dining furniture. There is a built-in barbecue on the terrace. There is a large shared pool 100 metres from the villa with sunbeds, sunshades and toilets. It has panoramic sea views. The beach is a 15 minute walk from the villa. There are sunbeds, sunshades, cafes, restaurants and toilets at the beach.
Coast/Beach
There are many beaches within easy walking distance or a short drive or journey on dolmus local transport. There are a variety of beaches within easy reach from quiet beaches to those with watersports. There are many villages and towns around the Peninsula with markets, shops, restaurants and cafes. Something can be found for every taste. All are within easy reach by car or public transport. Advice is given in our information brochure.
Travel
The nearest airport is Bodrum Milas airport which is about 45 minutes drive to the villa. Car hire is recommended to take advantage of the facilities on the Bodrum Peninsula. This is available from the airport. Alternatively, a taxi from the airport is about £45 to the villa. Minibus transfers can be arranged from airport to villa for about £65. We can assist in booking these. Charter airlines fly from all regional airports to Bodrum, Easy Jet now flies Gatwick to Bodrum.
Distances
Gumusluk is about 3km away. It can be reached by a short drive/dolmus ride (10 minutes) or by coastal walk (about 45 minutes). It is of historic interest and has submerged ruins of the ancient city. There are good, clean and safe beaches. There are many restaurants and cafes where fresh fish, mezes and other foods can be enjoyed at waterfront tables which are candlelit at night. Yalikavak is about 8km from the villa and has many good beaches, a large marina, shops, cafes and restaurants.
Further details
Good restaurants are in Gumusluk 3km away, 10 minutes drive/dolmus/taxi ride. Banks and supermarkets are in Turgutreis 20 minutes drive/dolmus ride away. There is a large Saturday market in Turgutreis selling fresh and dry produce, leather bags and jackets, clothing and textiles. Boat and diving trips depart from Turgutreis. Bodrum town is a 30 minute drive or dolmus ride away. There are boat and diving trips, marina, restaurants, shops, banks, Turkish baths, regular outdoor markets, outdoor music and arts concerts in the amphitheatre and castle. There is a world class underwater museum in the castle. The original mausoleum is in Bodrum. Ephesus and Pamukkale can be reached by car within about 3 hours or by organised trip which can be booked in advance. The many villages, towns and beaches on the Peninsula can be easily reached by car or public transport. There is something for every taste to be found from within the immediate area to a maximum of 30 minutes drive away.
Booking notes
A 25% deposit is required on booking. The balance of payment is required 8 weeks prior to departure.
A £200 refundable deposit to cover breakage is required on arrival.
