Villa Turkuaz is a superbly appointed holiday home with some of the very finest sea and mountain views in Kalkan. Set on a peaceful hillside, the villa offers wonderful unobstructed views over Kalkan Bay. The villa makes a great holiday base for a peaceful and relaxing holiday in a truly magnificent setting. The spacious villa is air conditioned, fully equipped and comfortably furnished. All the bedrooms offer superb sea and mountain views. The villa has a south facing aspect ensuring that the private swimming pool, garden, roof and pool terraces all have abundant sunshine throughout the day. Its elevated position provides a gentle warm sea breeze (called the Meltem) that arrives just when you need it! In the day you can relax, swim and enjoy the magnificent sea views from the villa. The sunsets from the roof terrace are spectacular! For those essentials there are local shops and a bakery within 5 minutes walk.

The villa will be cleaned before and after your stay. 2 week rentals will have cleaning and laundry change after 1 week. The pool is cleaned daily. All linen and towels are provided. Guests to provide own towels for outside or beach use. |

Notes on accommodation
Smoke detectors fitted in all rooms. Mosquito netting fitted on bedroom windows. Safe deposit box provided. Smoking is not permitted inside the villa.
Accessibility
In Kalkan the best views are from properties with hillside positions. Please enquire if you have any mobilty issues.
Outside
The private swimming pool is approx 6 x 3m and is 1.7m deep. The pool is not fenced or covered. No children under 7 years without prior arrangement please. Pool terrace equipped with quality wooden sun loungers, covers and parasols. Picnic bench (seats 6). Private garden terrace with trees, roses and scented shrubs. Private car parking space. On the 2nd floor, there is a huge roof terrace with panoramic sea and mountain views. On a clear day you can see the famous Patara Beach from here!
Coast/Beach
Kalkan's beautiful pebble beach is approx 2km from the villa and is easily accessed by local bus There are also two other superb sandy beaches close by at Patara (20 min bus journey) and Kaputas (10 min bus journey). Patara is strictly protected from development and has been consistently voted as being amongst the best beaches in the world!
Travel
The nearest airport is Dalaman which is a ninety minute drive to the villa. We can arrange transfers for you by car or mini bus depending on the size of your group. The driver will meet you at the airport and take you directly to the villa. At the end of your holiday you will be taken back directly to the airport. All vehicles are air conditioned and the journey is relaxing and scenic. Please ask for further information and prices. We can advise on car hire and provide driving directions.
Distances
Places of interest include Kapatas and Patara beach. There arean abundance of historic sites at Kekova, Letton, Olympos, Tlos and Xanthos. Other 'must visits' include the magnificent Saklikent Gorge and the pretty harbour town of nearby Kas. There are numerous beach clubs and a diving centre in Kalkan. Other activities include gulet cruising, hiking, horse riding and rafting.
Further details
Kalkan is a beautiful harbour village set in a breathtaking landscape overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The town has a wonderfully relaxed and friendly atmosphere and strict conservation laws ensure that the old village retains its history, character and charm. Winding cobbled streets, colourful local shops, bars and excellent terrace and roof top restaurants all combine with stunning views over the sea. Kalkan has a blue flag pebble beach and there are two superb sandy beaches close by at Patara and Kaputas. There are shops for general provisions, a bakery and an Internet cafe all within a short walking distance of the villa. Kalkan has several supermarkets and banks with ATM machine's. There is also a post office and shops offering money exchange. Kalkan also has a pharmacy, dentist and a doctors surgery. There is an excellent local market every Thursday. A car is not essential but may be preferred. There is a regular bus service into Kalkan (5 minute journey) within a short walk from the villa. There is also a reasonably priced local taxi service available with a discounted rate for villa guests.
Booking notes
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total rental amount is required. The balance is payable no later than one month before departure. We reserve the right to re-advertise your dates if we do not receive the final payment by the due date. Payment can be made by sterling cheque or bank transfer. You will need to arrange your own flights and holiday insurance. Important note: There is a £10 per person charge for a visa to all British nationals arriving in Turkey.

Hi, we are Caroline and Phil from Nottingham in the UK. We first saw the Villa Turkuaz over 8 years ago when we came to Kalkan for the very first time. Since then we have had many wonderful times here and still pinch ourselves when we arrive at the villa and see those incredible views! We love our holidays in Kalkan and we strive to ensure that the Villa Turkuaz is presented at it's very best so that you can have a great holiday too! Why the owner chose a home in this location
We first came to the area on holiday in 2003 and immediately fell in love with Kalkan and the beautiful and unspoilt countryside and beaches close by. As soon as we saw the villa (it was only partly built then)with the amazing sea and mountain views we knew we had found our dream home in the sun! What we love most is the relaxed and laid back atmosphere of Kalkan and the tranquility and beauty of the area around the villa. For us this is a little piece of heaven and the perfect place to relax, unwind and recharge the batteries!
Unique benefits of the property
The location of this villa is just perfect! It is situated on the hillside with a scattering of other villas. There is no busy traffic or noisy bars here, just peace and tranquility and those incredibly stunning views. You can watch the goats and chickens wander in the field below and say hello to the friendly locals as they pass by. A five minute downhill stroll will take you to local shops and a bakery for any essentials you need.
The villa has a lovely airy, light and spacious feel with all rooms having great views of the sea and mountains. You are close to Kalkan but with the added benefit of living in a peaceful and private location surrounded by the most amazing scenery - it's the perfect setting for a wonderful holiday!
