Two 3 bed semi detached traditional stone built villas, both offering spacious terraces, and a large private pool. The property is surrounded by a beautiful stone wall with cast iron gates and a built-in BBQ. They are situated in a quiet rural village location in Gokova with stunning backdrop scenery. The local bakery is almost on your doorstep and the main street offers a few mini supermarkets. Also, every Saturday, Gokova holds a market which is abundant with locally grown fruit and veg, cheeses and meats etc, where you can stock up for your stay. The resort centre of Akyaka is approx 3km which can easily be reached by a local frequent bus service. Akyaka is a small resort with plenty bars and restaurants and a beautiful beach with various water sports, boat trips and fishing on offer. There are four very famous fish restaurants en-route to Akyaka that would be well worth a visit. The villas are approx 1 hour from Dalaman airport and 30 mins from the busier resort of Marmaris.

Upstairs there is 1 twin room to the back with 2 single beds, beside table and wardrobe, another twin room to the front with 2 single beds, bedside table, wardrobe and patio doors to a Juliet balcony. Also, to the front is a large double room with a king sized bed, 2 bedside tables, chest of drawers, 2 wardrobes and patio doors to a Juliet balcony. There is also extra storage under all beds.

Downstairs are 2 double sofa beds in the lounge area offering a further 4 occupancy, sideboard, coffee table and built-in storage unit, a beautiful built-in Turkish style fireplace and patio doors leading to the terrace.
Shower room, sink and wc, also housing a washing machine.
The kitchen has full sized fridge/freezer, 4 ring gas hob, microwave, ample storage units and also patio doors leading to the terrace.
There are fly screens on all patio doors.
The BBQ is built into the stonework and the property is secured by 2 cast iron gates.

Notes on accommodation
The villas are well suited for children as there is a small park situated just around the corner, ideal for small children. There is also Turkish Pide place in the main street which is excellent for carry out Turkish Pide's. Both villas are equipped with iron and ironing board, clothes horse, kettle, full cutlery and crockery for 12 persons.
Spare linen, bath and hand towels.

Outside
The terrace areas include a large table each and seating for 10 persons and an external power socket. There are large patio areas surrounding the pool which is mostly south facing so enjoys the sun from early morning until early evening, the terrace areas keep mostly in the shade which is ideal for eating, there are also shaded areas to the rear of the properties. The villas are equipped with 12 sun loungers with mattresses, 4 parasols and 4 small side tables. The pool is approx 8m x 5m with steps at either side for access and is only shared by the 2 villas. The BBQ is built into the stone wall and to the rear of the properties there are two hammocks fitted. The villas and the pool area are all lit up at night. The water is solar heated, as is most Turkish properties. The properties also have a couple of lemon trees, a grassed area to the rear and has flowers and shrubs surrounding the edges at the stone wall that are very colourful. The pool is cleaned twice a day.

Coast/Beach
Akyaka beach is approx 3km, there is a local bus service which takes approx 10/15 mins or 10 mins by car or taxi. The beach is fairly small with lovely soft sand, the water is shallow for a long stretch, so very safe for children, it is constantly being cleaned and there are various water sports available, ie wind surfing, kite surfing, pedalos. There are boat and fishing trips on offer and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from along the front of the esplanade.

Golf
Plans for golf courses in the Dalaman area are on going for the near future.

Travel
Dalaman airport is less than an hour from the villas, it is a very straight road and the villas are very easy to locate, airport transfers can be arranged. Car hire is an option but not essential, as there is an excellent very cheap bus service in the area. Taxis are available and not too expensive either.

Distances
Marmaris is approx 1/2 an hour from Gokova and Icmeler is a further 10 mins from Marmaris, both offer a huge market and have an abundance of shops, so for those of you who want to shop for bags, belts, designer label clothes, these places would be well worth a visit. Marmaris has a beautiful marina with plentiful eating places, and has a couple of water parks. Marmaris also has popular nightlife area for the people who are looking for a livelier night out in Bar Street or Long Beach.

Further details
Local shops in Gokova cater for everyday needs but only accept Turkish lira. Fruit and veg is better bought at the Saturday market. Akyaka has ATM machines but most of the restaurants will accept English notes and also change money for you at the going rate. Buses and taxis will only accept Turkish Lira but some stalls at the market and clothes shops will accept English notes. One of the Fish restaurants called 'Halil' will come to the villa and pick you up and then take you home after your meal as part of their service, some of the restaurants in Akyaka will also do this.
There are medical centres and chemists in Akyaka and Gokova, and two Hospitals in Marmaris for anything more serious. They all speak very good English.
There is another large town in the other direction called Mugla, it is more a shopping town than a resort. One of the more popular boat trips are to Cleopatra's beach, again well worth a visit. There are also plenty of lovely walks in the surrounding areas. For the more energetic, water sports such as jet skiing, water skiing, parascending, banana rides, these are all on offer at Marmaris and Icmeler. But the popular activity of paragliding is on offer on your doorstep in Akayka! Courses can be arranged for this, kite surfing and wind surfing locally at Akyaka Beach.
