The villa is part of a small number of villas and apartments built by an English builder on a prestigious site on a hillside just on the outskirts of Yalikavak in 2007. A traditional Turkish fishing village on the Northern (quieter and less commercialised) coast of the Bodrum Peninsula. It is a perfect retreat for those more discerning of travellers, looking for a quieter holiday but in easy reach of the hustle and bustle of Bodrum. Renting a car is useful to get access to the main streets of the town. Taxis are available to fetch you from the villa. The property is a triplex unit with an identical villa attached to our property and a penthouse apartment on the third level.

The villa has a large balcony at lounge level, accessed by double doors from the lounge and dining area. From here there are probably some of the best views to Yalikavak and the Aegean.
There are private gardens at the lower level, again with sun terraces outside each sea-facing bedroom. Pool - a huge sunbathing terrace surrounds the fabulous infinity (shared) pool. Some sun loungers are provided for guest's use.
The pool has been carefully designed to maximise the view and looks as though it blends into the Aegean. At the rear of the pool, built in BBQs are available for all residents and guests.

3km to Yalikavak centre and beach 20 mins drive to Bodrum town. 15 mins drive to Aqua Park.
Golf
Large golf facility being built close by.
Travel
50 mins from Bodrum airport. 30 mins drive to Bodrum centre. 10 mins to Gumusluk.
Further details
Yalikavak has a multi-million pound Marina which is home to many sailing yachts from around the world. The Marina has an open air amphitheatre where concerts are held during the summer months. Yalikavak village itself has some wonderful restaurants, naturally specialising in local seafood, as well as many bars and shops.

About the owner
I am Turkish in origin and live in Wales with my husband and 4yr old son. We bought our villa about 3 years ago. We chose Yalikavak because of its upmarket atmosphere and proximity to a world class marina. We particularly enjoy the choice of restaurants around the beach. The complex is used mostly by English couples on holiday. The town also gets a lot of Turkish visitors from Istanbul and therefore feels less touristy than places like Bodrum
Why the owner chose a home in this location
The views around this part of the hill are among the best in the peninsula. The complex itself was developed by an English builder and therefore built more or less to European standards.
