The Kalkan Emerald is a beautiful 2 bedroom duplex apartment, furnished to a very high standard with solid oak furniture and cool marble floors throughout. Wall to wall windows allow the beautiful view from anywhere in apartment. Balcony off lounge and large rooftop terrace with incredible views of town, harbour and the water. Very easy walk to town. Large circular pool and sun terrace area with sun beds. Right on our doorstep are two of Kalkans finest Hotels, The Kalkan Regency with its beautiful spa, and The Lykia where my guests will receive a 20% discount on spa treatments.

Changeover day
Preferred changeover day is Monday as most UK operators fly here on Mondays, however I am flexible and will work where possible with guests to suit their needs.

| Kitchen: | Bright modern fully equipped open plan kitchen. Hob/cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, sandwich maker. Porcelain tableware as well as acrylic to enjoy lunch on the terrace or by the pool - if you can keep away from the great restaurants that is! |
| Utility Room: | Washing machine, iron/ironing board and clothes airer. |
| Living Rooms: | Sunny bright, airy lounge area with corner couch and sectional footstool. Satellite TV, DVD, CD player. Marble top table with chairs to allow you to enjoy your breakfast out of the morning sun or step outside onto the balcony to take in those views. |
| Other: | Screen doors are fitted to enable you to sleep with doors/windows open. Sit out on the large balcony or up to the stunning rooftop terrace with seating and sunbeds to enjoy the stunning views and sunset with a glass of wine. |

All linen included (Beach Towels included for use around the pool). Cleaning service twice weekly, linen change etc. Bins emptied/general clean daily. Greet on arrival with grocery welcome pack. |

Accessibility
The apartment is situated not far from the town centre and enjoys an easy walk into town. The Town itself has some steep hills down to the harbour, however as you leave town, unlike a lot of properties in Kalkan, the Emerald apartment is reached along a flat road, no more hills! Access to apartment is via 2 flights of stairs. No wheelchair access (ramp) available.
Outside
The Emerald has a large circular shared pool shared with 7 other apartments. Large sun terrace area which enjoys the sun all day long. Plenty of shade with sun beds and umbrellas provided for Emerald Apartments guests. Many neighbouring hotels with spa facilities, bars and restaurants.
Coast/Beach
There are numerous beachclubs all with various watersports facilities, scuba, sailing, water skiing and excellent facilities for lunch and refreshments. Free taxi service available or free water taxi from the harbour to Kalamar, Mahal, Patara, Palm and Ibo's are very popular.
There is also Kalkan's white pebble beach along the harbour road. Sunloungers and umbrellas are available for hire and numerous cafes and restaurants are very close by.

Many excursions available and activities of interest. Great walking along the beautiful Lycian way, further details can be provided in advance.
Travel
Dalaman is the nearest airport. Transfer time approx 90 mins. £10 visa per person payable on arrival before passing through customs. Transfers and car hire can be arranged via owner. Car hire not essential, however if required, from airport or from a number of companies in Kalkan. Advance booking recommended during high season.
Distances
Kas which is a lovely, larger harbour village about 15-20 mins along coastal road or venture inland to the villages of Yesilkoy, Islamlar with their fresh trout farms and mountain views and the journey to Bezirgan passes by Lycian rock tombs (30 mins). Fethiye and its huge market (about 1 hour). Beautiful breezy Patara beach (25 mins) has many ancient ruins. The sunken city of Kekova can be reached by boat and ferry's from Kas to the nearby Greek Island of Mies also known as Castelloriz (1 hr)

Shops range from local arts and crafts to excellent quality copies of designer leather goods, great fashion, and vast range of very high quality, very reasonable priced restaurants with unbeatable views of the bay. Currency - Turkish Lira, UK Pounds or Euros. ATMS available.

About the owner
Having visited and lived in various countries I first went to Kalkan in 2005 and fell in love with the place and the people. While being nosey around the real estate market, I wandered into my dream apartment and bought it! and I have not regretted that very impulsive decision for one moment.
I love all that Turkey has to offer, the hospitality, the food, the views, the sunshine and the real family feeling you get as you make more and more friends. I stay away from the commercialised resorts. I work full time from a laptop so I am lucky I can work from my apartment too and I would spend so much more of my time in Kalkan if I could, alas my family and two big dogs wont allow that just yet.

Friendly, picturesque, authentic, sophisticated but not commercial at all. I so hope it stays that way.
Unique benefits of the property
The Emerald is situated very close to the harbour and all amenities. Kalkan is built on quite a steep hill and many properties have a steep climb home. I love our location, the views are fantastic and we are at the same level as the top end of town. No hard walk home no taxi fares, just a slow stroll to walk off the many beautiful dinners you will enjoy.
