Villa Mandalina is a large villa with exceptional views across Kalkan bay and the surrounding countryside. A large roof top terrace is ideal for drinks whilst enjoying the fabulous sunsets. Private pool, garden terraces and BBQ. Turkish style gazeebo and outside dining area. Fully equipped, air-conditioning/heating. Situated in a peaceful location on the Kalkan hillside with fantastic views from all rooms, especially our galleried landing. Kalkan is a pretty harbour town, with bars, waterfront restaurants. There are many beaches within easy reach including the famous Patara beach. Cobbled streets, with cascading flowers from the traditional houses, add to the charm. A small parade of shops and a local colourful market are a short walk from the villa through the olive groves.

Notes on accommodation
Air-conditioning converts to heating when required. The open fireplace can be used during the winter months. The pool is close to the villa, so care is required with small children.
Accessibility
Due to the position of the villa and steps leading to the Villa it is unfortunately, unsuitable for those guests requiring a wheelchair or with difficulty in walking.
Outside
Villa Mandalina, stands on a large plot, which consists of terraces with flower beds. A patio area, with marble dining table and chairs. A Turkish style gazebo, offering shade is perfect for breakfast! There is also a BBQ and parking for a hire car. The Villa is South facing and as such the pool area is bathed in sunlight all day long.
Coast/Beach
Kalkan Town offers a small pebbled beach with clear waters and cafes nearby. Kaputas beach is a stunning only 10 mins by car. It is a steep walk down, but with its beautiful azure blue waters and fine sand well worth it. The famous Patara Beach is 20 mins by car, 18km of golden sand, situated by the ancient ruins of Patara the Lycian City. There are several beach clubs offering water sports, snorkelling, diving and even internet facilities!
Travel
Dalaman is the closest airport, 1½ hour by car. A straight forward drive, made easier by the completion of a new tunnel. Antalya is 3 hours away.
Distances
Kalkan is ideally situated to explore this beautiful region. There are many historic sights and ancient ruins to visit, such as Patara. Walk the Lycian way, visit the sunken city off Kekova Island. A canoe trip down the Xanthos River through the Patara National Park. Kas, just a 30 minutes drive offers boat trips to the Greek Island of Meis.
Further details
Kalkan is a traditional fishing village which has all amenities, shops, banks and a post-office. A pretty beach, bars and waterfront restaurants are situated around the harbour front. Picturesque cobbled backstreets with flowers adorning the traditional houses adds to its charm. There are small shops, local cafes and intriguing Ottoman bars, tucked away amongst the side streets to explore. Several colourful local markets are held most days around the area - offering the opportunity to purchase spices, gifts and fresh garden produce. Kalkan is a fascinating Mediterranean town, located in the heart of the Teke Penisula or ancient Lycia.
If you venture inland towards the Islamlar area, you will come across wonderful fresh-water trout restaurants, set amongst orange and lemon groves. A short drive of 15 minutes or so, will take you to traditional villages set amongst the unspoilt countryside, offering an insight into local life, Turkish style! The Kalkan area is a truly unspoilt region, which has much to offer everyone for a special holiday.
Booking notes
Please contact for availability. We would require a 25% deposit when booking, with final payment 8 weeks prior to departure. Also a £200 deposit would be required for breakages or damage, with the final payment. We also kindly request that there is no-smoking inside the villa.
