Villa Güzel - A delightful luxury villa, in a select position on a peaceful hillside, with wonderful views over the picturesque, sophisticated resort of Kalkan and the Bay. The villa has been recently built to an extremely high standard with antique marbled floors, featuring limestone walls internally and spiral staircases to the main bedrooms.

Accessibility
Due to the hillside location, the spiral staircases (only one bedroom has ground floor access), and the deep swimming pool that has no shallow end, the villa is not suitable for young non-swimmers and the infirm. No smoking please inside the villa.
Outside
The private fresh water swimming pool is larger than normal,and is serviced daily. The terrace is very spacious and well equipped with sun lounges, seating area with BBQ & pergola with tabling to seat eight for meals to be enjoyed outside. The partly shaded seating terrace has settee,chairs & coffee table also a BBQ. The largest balcony includes seating for eight and a further BBQ.
Coast/Beach
One of the most beautiful beaches in Turkey and voted one of the world's best beach in a Sunday Times supplement is Patara beach, 18 kilometers of golden sand, which is reached by car in about 20 minutes or by local bus. The car entrance fee is around £5, but this lasts for one week. The beach's facilities offer hire of sun beds and shades. A small cafe provides good snacks and toilets are provided. It is set amongst a protected historical site which is well worth a visit.
Travel
A car is not necessary. We recommend and can arrange transfer from Dalaman or Antalya airports direct to the villa by air conditioned vehicle as follows: Dalaman Car 1/3 people £65, Minibus 4/7 £80, Minibus 8/14 £95 each way.
Antalya Car 1/3 people £100, Minibus 4/7 £125, Minibus 8/14 £145 each way. Taxis are cheap and readily available to and from the villa. Hire a car locally, from £25 a day. Dolmus buses operate between Kalkan and local beaches and towns. Many local excursions available.

Area Description: Kalkan, described as Turkey's best kept secret, is a small, sophisticated resort set on the Turkish Mediterranean Riviera. The town nestles on the foot of the Taurus mountains and was once a small fishing village, it is now a charming holiday resort consisting of cobbled streets, housing interesting shops selling jewellery, carpets and local goods. One can enjoy bartering with the shopkeepers and their hospitality offering of apple tea.
Enjoy a beer at the bars on the picturesque harbour, admire the gullets, the fishing and sailing boats, or hire for the day your privately skippered boat and be taken to the coves for a swim in the turquoise sea, sunbathe, enjoy the food, all at unbelievable value.
Visit the small pebbled beach close by the harbour or the local beach clubs and enjoy the water sports available, such as snorkeling, scuba diving and wind surfing.
Hire a car or join a local excursion to visit one of the many historical ancient sites such as Patara, Xanthos, Tios, a trip to the Taurus mountains or the amazing Saklikent Gorge.
Enjoy mountain walks, climbing, trekking, caving and parascending, have a relaxing Turkish bath or massage to ease away the aches and pains.
In the evening, sample some of the finest food at the harbour side restaurants or those with roof top terraces offering views of Kalkans wonderful illuminated nightlife.
A Sunday Times article likened visitors to Kalkan to those attracted to Tuscany and the Dordogne, we agree entirely, Kalkan is for the discerning holiday maker.

On signed acceptance of your booking, a non-refundable deposit of one third of the total hire fee is required. The remaining balance is due and required eight weeks prior to the departure date. Full details regarding access to the villa will be provided.

Anne and I are retired, have two children Mark and Susan also four grand children Chloe Joe Louis and Archie. I enjoy my golf and our garden, Anne loves her amateur dramatics and swimming.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We have been very lucky and travelled the world, we were talking to some friends who were asking what Turkey was like and we admitted we had not been another friend had and was saying how wonderful it was, we were not too anxious but we said we would give it a try. We had a week in Kas and a week in Kalkan and bought a villa that week (subject to contract), We employed a solicitor and did all the legal checks etc.
We simply fell in love with Kalkan, we enjoy the food the atmosphere and the people.
We have never regretted buying the villa, it has proved a good investment, but the main reason benefit love going out there.
Unique benefits of the property
We chose the property because it enjoys a good position over looking the bay, The design is individual, along wiith the other seven on the site and buillt to a very high standard by the most reputable of builders Aslan who owns the Asfiye Hotel and others. We particularly liked the size of the pool, it is huge and Anne loves her swimming.
