A brand new two bedroom duplex apartment in an exclusive complex of 12 houses, situated on a hill above the village of Gocek, the St Tropez of the Turkish Riviera. Ideally located for boating in the fabulous bay of Fethiye, one of the most beautiful cruising grounds in the world, exploring Turkey's antiquities which rival anything Greece has to offer, or just lazing by the pool or on the dazzling white sands of Olu Deniz (an hour away by car or bus), this apartment has everything for a perfect holiday. Car and bike hire are available in the village, which abounds in restaurants, souvenir and antique shops. It has two good western style supermarkets as well as numerous local food shops, so self catering is not a problem. When you are tired of shopping, you can relax on the sea front with a cold beer and inspect the yachts of the rich and famous, who love to anchor in the crystal clear waters of the bay.

Changeover day
Change over day will normally be Monday, since most of the charter flights from UK arrive on that day but changeover can be flexible, particularly in low season.

Notes on accommodation
The apartment is fully air-conditioned and the complex has two pools and a jacuzzi (pools not suitable for unsupervised children or non-swimmers). Is there a snag? Yes, the fabulous views means a flight of steps, so the apartment is not accessible to those with limited mobility.

Accessibility
Not suitable for wheelchair access or for people with mobility problems as there are stairs up to the property and also up to the pool area.
Outside
There is a landscaped communal garden. There are two pools and a jacuzzi which are shared by the other tenants - the pools do not have a shallow end, so are not suitable for unsupervised children or non swimmers. Sun beds are provided. There are three balconies round the main floor of the apartment, supplied with director's chairs.
Coast/Beach
The apartment is 5 minutes drive or 20 minutes easy walk to the village centre and sea front. There is a frequent local bus service to the nearest beach (15 minutes), or a short boat trip to one of the beach restaurants on the islands.
Travel
Gocek is 20 minutes by road from Dalaman International Airport, with regular flights from the UK even during the winter months. Car and motorbike hire is readily available in the village. Use of a car is not essential but it is very hot in July and August, so a hire car is recommended.
Distances
Fethiye, the nearest large town is 40 minutes by dolmus - the local communal taxi cum minibus. The huge local market on Tuesdays is always a favourite. Excursions can be booked from Fethiye to Saklikent Gorge for white water rafting or Pammukale the frozen waterfalls. The lake of Koycegiz, the ruins of Kaunos and the village of Dalyan are about an hour away from Gocek in the opposite direction by car.

Situated in one of the most beautiful and historically fascinating regions of the Mediterranean, Gocek is perfectly situated for exploration of Turkey's archaeological treasures, such as Kaunos, a hour away by car, or for leisurely day trips round its picturesque bay. Several yacht charter companies are based here, so combining a shore-based holiday with one afloat has never been more simple. For those who wish to relax, the fabled sands of Oludeniz are only an hour's drive and local beaches just a short bus ride. In Gocek's main street, you will find a wide selection of excellent restaurants and many shops selling traditional Turkish artifacts: ceramics, clothing, linens and of course, carpets.

To book, please contact the owner directly. 20% deposit on booking, the balance 8 weeks before arrival (when possible). A returnable security deposit of £100 is also required.
