Notes on accommodation
The ground level accommodation occupies a private position with a spacious lawned area to the front and side planted with flowering shrubs and evergreen screening. The lawn is accessed from the patio.
The air-conditioning units are individually switched and controlled and provide heating in the cooler months. The development provides excellent family accommodation with play facilities for young children, but because of the terraced nature of the development, young children need to be properly supervised.

Accessibility
Not suitable for wheelchair uses.

Outside
The lawned area outside the apartment is a place to sunbathe, a play area for children or an excellent place to sit out and relax. The patio is an excellent place for dining. There is a built-in BBQ and patio furniture making it an ideal place for spending time together with the family or entertaining friends and, after a hot day in the sun, the perfect shady place to relax with a beer or a glass of wine and enjoy the cooling sea breeze as you take in the extensive views across the wooded hillside and down to the sea and the fishing village of Gummersluk.
From the security gate a circular road gives access into the development. There is muted lighting to illuminate all access points to facilities and apartments. There are two excellent swimming pools, one with a water slide; sports facilities, a bar/cafe with computer access, gym and creche. The site is tastefully landscaped and all public areas and facilities are well maintained.

Coast/Beach
The coastline around the Bodrum peninsular is beautiful. The nearest beach is a 15 min walk. The village is a 15 min stroll down a lane that threads its way through fields and small groves of olive and mandarin orange trees. Here you can buy fresh baked bread and shop for your other needs. There is a weekly market where you can mix with the local, friendly villagers. The little bars and the fish restaurants are excellent and most beaches are perfect for families.

Golf
A new championship golf course is approximately 40 minutes away at Lake Tuzla.

Travel
Milas Bodrum airport is a 50 minute taxi ride away.
Bodrum town with its shops, markets, bars, restaurants, banks, marina, castle and archaeological sites is 25 minutes away by local bus (dolmus) which run frequently and well into the night. They are a cheap and enjoyable way to get around. If you want to explore further afield in this beautiful part of Turkey, then car hire is a better option.

Distances
Bodrum town is 25 minutes away by the local, regular bus service, the dolmus. The coastal towns of Turgutreis and Yalikavak are similar distances. A 5 minute bus ride will take you into the nearest village or drop you off at the beachside fish restaurants and bars. The nearest beach and village are both an easy walk away.

Further details
The area is good for bird watching throughout the year, but especially at spring and autumn migration and a boat trip around the bays and inlets will give you a good chance of seeing lesser kestrel, imperial eagle, harriers, rock thrush etc; Local supermarkets give good choice of food, groceries at fair prices and some of the major European chains are represented. Petrol is slightly cheaper than U.K. Banks and ATM's are easily accessible. Restaurants are mainly cheap and serve good quality food, but shop around for a favourite one and make a point of eating local dishes. They are delicious. The Turks are all friendly, helpful and most speak English to a good standard.
The tourist information in Bodrum gives a wide range of information on activities, places of interest to visit and the Turkish culture. Dolmus's run frequent services all around the Bodrum peninsular and beyond. They are clean, cheap and an invaluable way to see the area. Take a gullet sea trip to enjoy the Bodrum coastline or just to chill out on these lovely, traditional sailing boats. Take the ferry to the Greek island of Kos. Walk the lanes and bye-ways away from the tourist traps, go sea fishing, book a trip to the ancient sites of Ephasus, Permucalae, Troy, Pergamom or other sites of what was once ancient Greece.
