The Patara Prince Resort is a famously recognised hotel and resort. The apartment offers seclusion and privacy yet is only a few minutes away from the centre of Kalkan. Set on a hill overlooking Kalkan bay.The apartment boasts stunning views. The architecture is a 'grand design' with use of local stone and lush plantation that sympathetically enhance the natural surroundings and reach down to the sea. The architect has created atmosphere, elegance and style. The facilities could easily fill your day. They include private sun platforms, water sports, diving lessons, tennis courts, volleyball, restaurants and bars, shops, sauna, massage - to name a few! Also a choice of two seawater pools and a fresh water pool, plus a children's pool and water slide, plus a handy kiddies club. The resort has it's own shuttle bus which will take you around the resort and a private water taxi to ferry you to and from Kalkan.

| Other: | Relax on the terrace on the two sunloungers provided, whilst admiring the fantastic sea and mountain views and tropical gardens. In fact we bought this particular apartment because it had one of the best views! plus it feels private and secluded. |

Outside
The facilities could easily fill your day. They include private sun platforms. Water sports, diving lessons, tennis courts, volleyball, restaurants and bars, shops sauna, massage - to name a few! Also a choice of two seawater pools and a fresh water pool, plus a children's pool and water slide, plus a handy kiddies club.
Coast/Beach
The sea and bathing platforms are pleasant five minute walk through the beautiful tropical gardens of the resort. There is also a free shuttle bus to take you around the resort.
Special interest holidays
Turkish cuisine cookery classes are available at the "Guru" restaurant, just outside of Kalkan. Hiking along the "Lycian way" Visit archaeological and geological sights. Watersports.
Travel
Kalkan is approx 90 minutes from Dalaman airport and 270 minutes from Antalya airport. We can arrange an airport transfer service if required.
Distances
The town of Kalkan is a ten minute walk from the apartment or a five minute ride by the resorts boat taxi service. Why not visit Patara beach, just a short bus ride away, with it's stunning unspoilt 20km stretch of white sands, and clamber about the infinite archaelogical sites such as it's ancient amphitheatre?
Further details
Kalkan is a pretty fishing town built on a hillside with a grid of streets sloping down to the harbour. The restaurant scene is very good indeed, that caters for all tastes, from traditional Turkish dishes, fresh fish and intenational cuisine. Many restaurants have roof top terraces to enjoy great views of the bay, and not a McDonalds in sight!
Walk around the narrow winding streets and discover unique little shops that sell local crafts, from jewellery, carpets, ceramics, leather, Turkish delight and spices. Not to mention boutiques that offer their own alteration services! There is a weekly local market where you can rub shoulders with the locals. Or take local transport a little further along the breathtaking coast to Kas, and perhaps stop off to swim at the perfect little beach of Kaputas, with it's turquoise sea. You will never be bored with the countless thing to do and see!

'Nice apartment on beautiful complex. Good sea veiws from balcony although the walk up the hill could be a bit much for some (although there is a regular minibus service). Kalkan is a lovely town and there are many bars and restaurants to choose from, both there and in the resort. Overall, a most enjoyable holiday and no complaints. Everything ran smoothly. 'The apartment was very comfortable, the air-con was a god send! You can cook basic meals but we preferred to eat out. the complex was very pretty, the climb down to the waterside got better everyday and the shuttle bus around the complex was a god send! Not for unfit or people with mobility problems. The views were excellent, very quiet and the gardens were picturesque. We enjoed eating out in Kalkan most of all, The Doy Doy, Aubergine restaurant and best of all the Arena restaurant. If you like riding try the Patara sands beach ride, we went twice and it was fabulous galloping through the sea.'

We fell in love with Kalkan on our first visit, Pretty streets full of character, great restaurants and superb beaches nearby. Then when we found a property on the Patara Prince Resort we couldn't believe our luck!We have never seen such unique and beautiful resort in all our travels. Amazing architecture, beautifully landscaped with choice of pools and with direct access to the private shoreline. It ticked all our boxes and then some!
Unique benefits of the property
Staying at the resort is very relaxing but with so many facilities you can easily fill your day. The resort has superb restaurants but as the property is self catering it is convieniant to be able to prepare your own meals. The advantages it has over individual properties is that you don't have to leave the resort as it provides every thing you need to have a truly fantastic stay with full use of the many facilities.
