This stunningly located 3 bedroom duplex penthouse offers light, spacious, comfortable accommodation for 7 in a quiet corner of Kalkan's Old Town. A mere stone's throw from the harbour, beach, boutiques and restaurants it would be difficult to find a better location. There is a pool on site shared by 3 other apartments. Brand new this season the apartment is fully air-conditioned and attractively furnished. Its 'piece-de-resistance' is the beautifully appointed and generously proportioned roof terrace where guests can retreat at any time of day. It is a particularly inviting place at sunset with perhaps a gin and tonic. From this vantage point one can idly watch as gulets and yachts slip into the harbour for the night. It is this enchanting view sweeping across to Mouse and Snake Islands which enraptures so many who return time and time again to Kalkan. The decor is fresh but warm and couples whitewashed and stone walls with floors in terracottas and pinks.

Coast/Beach
Kalkan's white pebble beach is minutes away from Villa Ada Manzara. It is a popular place for families or couples for swimming and sunbathing but never gets crowded. Sunloungers and umbrellas are available for hire and there is a cafe nearby. There are plenty of harbour front restaurants merely a few minutes walk from the beach.

Travel
Dalaman airport is a 90 minute drive away and you can choose to hire a car and drive yourself to Kalkan or one of the taxi services will come to collect you for a one-way journey fee of approximately £45. It is not essential to hire a car for your stay but it could give more scope for discovering some of the inland villages or the neighbouring town of Kas.

Distances
If you are feeling adventurous a trip to Fethiye would take about an hour, to Kas which is another larger harbour village about 15-20 mins and the inland villages of Yesilkoy, Islamlar and Bezirgan about 25 mins. There are historic ruins at Patara beach about 20 mins away and Lycian rock tombs can be seen on the journey to Bezirgan. The sunken city of Kekova can be reached on a boat trip and another novelty is a day trip to nearby Greek Island of Castellorizo -don't forget your passport!

Further details
Kalkan is famous for its tight knit centre of winding streets which come alive at night, here you can enjoy the many jewellery boutiques, furnishing accessory shops and a multitude of restaurants all intermingled with each other. Guests will be spoilt for choice with restaurants - the Korsan Fish Terrace, Aubergine, La Gironda, Trio and countless others but the special feature of eating out in Kalkan is roof top dining - sit and eat as the moonlight reflects in the Mediterranean.
Currency can be changed at the Post Office - PTT, which is on the main road down into the town and there are two or three banks with cash machines. There are several good supermarkets which open early and close late and can deliver to your door. Very close to the taxi rank you will find two or three fishmongers and some fruit and vegetable stalls but do not forget the weekly market every Thursday held near the mosque towards the top of the town. For more comprehensive shopping you could travel to Fethiye or Kas by bus or car.
Watersports abound - whether your interest is scuba, sailing, water skiing or just lazy days at sea there are plenty of choices. Further afield you could go kayaking or canoeing at Saklikent gorge. There are historic sites to visit too, the sunken city of Kekova, the ruins at Patara and Tlos and Lycian rock tombs on the inland routes to the villages. Another trip worth taking might be a drive to the trout farm at Islamar to enjoy a fresh fish lunch and take a look at the countryside inland from Kalkan.
Other beaches worth visiting are Kaputas and Patara beaches. There are many beach clubs in Kalkan where you can enjoy swimming and sunbathing with watersports and lunch facilities all available on one site - Mahal, Patara, Palm and Ibo's are well known and some will pick you up by car and deliver you home or you can catch a small ferry boat from the harbour.
