Apartment Rosa is a spacious, fully air conditioned apartment located in a convenient and quiet area on the Kalamar Road. It is the middle apartment of three, sharing a 7m x 4m (approx) pool and surrounded by bourganvillea as well as many other well tended plants. Kalkan public beach is pebbly but the nearby beaches of Patara and Kaputas are served by cheap and frequent dolmus (minibus) services or by boat from the marina.

| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 is air conditioned with a kingsize bed opening out onto a small private balcony. A double sofabed is in the lounge, which can be partly separated into another bedroom by closing glazed lockable fold-back doors. |
| Bathrooms: | The large marble bathroom has a sunken bath with an overhead shower, toilet and a wash basin with storage cupboard below. |
| Kitchen: | The open kitchen area is well stocked with utensils and crockery and has a gas/electric hob, large fridge with a freezer, washing machine and grill/microwave enabling guests to be fully self catering. There is a small fixed digital safe for valuables. |
| Living Rooms: | The spacious air-conditioned lounge has 2 large sofas (1 converts to a comfortable full size sofa bed), DVD player, dining for 4 which also opens out onto a furnished balcony overlooking the pool with glorious views of Kalkan Bay. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
All linen and towels are provided but guests are requested to bring their own beach/pool towels. The apartment is thoroughly cleaned and made ready for use before guests arrive, a small complimentary welcome pack will be provided. |

This is strictly a non-smoking apartment, which includes both balconies.
Regrettably we feel the apartment is unsuitable for children under 5 years old.
Accessibility
Whilst the access into and within the apartment would be perfectly suitable for guests with mobility difficulties the pool area however is only accessible by a flight of steps.
Outside
The apartment itself has 2 balconies - 1 small, private and cooler one opens out from the bedroom, enjoying views of the Taurus Mountains and then the main balcony from the lounge, which overlooks the pool and where guests can relax, eat or just take in the wonderful views of the village and Kalkan Bay. The apartments are set within well tended gardens with banana and pomegranate trees as well as bourganvillea which makes it particularly attractive and tranquil. The shared pool (approx 7x4m and 2m deep) is quite private and spacious. Each apartment has their own easily identified sunbeds.
Coast/Beach
Kalkan public beach is pebbly but the nearby beaches of Patara and Kaputas are served by cheap and frequent dolmus (minibus) services or by boat from the marina. There are a few beach clubs which offer free transportation to and from your apartment - their facilities include all types of water sports, fishing, safe bathing and restaurants.
Travel
The nearest airport is Dalaman (90 minutes) or Antalya (3 hours). A transfer service by air conditioned car can be arranged with a local travel company, ENES, who will meet you at Dalaman Airport (currently £50 per vehicle each way).
Charter flights now operate all year round to both airports. Car hire is not essential in Kalkan but can be easily arranged on arrival.
Distances
Kalkan is a good base to explore a particularly beautiful and interesting part of Turkey. The bus services are inexpensive, very efficient and air conditioned and there are many agencies in the village offering trips to a variety of places including Ephesus, Dalyan, Xanthos, Fethiye, the sunken city of Kekova and Saklikent Gorge.
Further details
Kalkan has many delightful, well-priced restaurants, most with rooftop terraces. There is a market every Thursday near the school. ATMs are readily available (in English) at the main banks. The Post Office is open 24 hours a day. A number of good supermarkets will be able to provide for all your needs and will often deliver. There are some internet cafes enabling you to keep in contact very cheaply (approx 3 YTL per hour).
Booking notes
A security bond of £100 will be required at the time of booking to cover possible breakages or damage which is refunded within 2 weeks of your return, following a report from our local agent. A rental deposit of £100 is required to secure your booking which will be deducted from the final balance which will be due 6 weeks prior to your departure. A late booking (less than 8 weeks before departure) needs to be paid in full at the time of booking. Bank Transfers can be accepted.
