Set in peaceful and tranquil surroundings it is within walking distance of Kalkan town and less than 150m from the sea and beach clubs. Olive groves leading into the Lycian Way are a 3 minute stroll away.

Changeover day
Changeover day is normally Monday however during early and late season we may consider alternatives. We may occasionally have to specify a check in or check out time to allow our cleaners sufficient time to prepare the villa for the next group of guests.

| Bathrooms: | All bedrooms are ensuite. There is also a wetroom with wc situated on the ground floor. The master suite has a Jacuzzi bath/shower and wc. Bedroom 2 also has a bath/shower and wc. Bedroom 3 has a wet room and wc. |
| Kitchen: | Fully fitted open plan kitchen with electric oven and gas hob, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, fridge freezer and a full compliment of utensils, crockery and cutlery. There is also a small kitchenette with sink and fridge located on the top floor. |

| Living Rooms: | The entrance to the villa leads you into a light and airy open plan lounge and dining area which is fully air conditioned. For your entertainment the cosy lounge area, with sofas, has satellite TV and a DVD/CD player. The marble dining table seats 6. |
| Other: | The villa has 3 floors. A marble staircase takes you from the lounge up to the first floor which has 2 bedrooms. Another staircase leads you up to the top floor with the master suite and a spacious roof terrace. All bedrooms have large dressing areas. |

Notes on accommodation
All bedrooms and the open plan lounge/dining area and kitchen are fully air-conditioned. The air-conditioning units can be reversed to provide heating during the colder months. Hairdryers and mosquito repellent plug ins are provided. No smoking is permitted inside the villa and smoke detectors are fitted for your protection. A complimentary hamper containing essentials such as bread, milk, butter and water and a few luxury items such as beer/wine is provided on arrival. Villa Elsa also has full DiLonghi coffee making facilities. The villa is suitable for children however toddlers should be supervised at all times.
Accessibility
Due to its location the villa is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Outside
Patio doors open from the lounge/dining room onto a lovely pool area where you can spend lazy days soaking up the sun and nights enjoying al fresco food cooked on the portable barbeque, whilst taking in the scent of Jasmine and other fragrant flowers.
The 7m x 4m pool has Roman steps for easy access, or for sitting on to cool down and can be floodlit at night. Swimming accessories are provided for additional relaxation/fun. Dotted around the pool are sun loungers, parasols and terracotta pots overflowing with colourful flowers.
If you would prefer a little shade, there is a door leading from the first floor onto a shady, well stocked garden, with pergola and swing chair.
The top terrace provides the ideal place for observing gullets setting off and returning from their daily trip around the bay and for watching the sun going down. Comfy chairs are provided to enable you to settle down with your favourite tipple and take in the stunning views of the sea, mountains and olive groves.
Coast/Beach
Kalamar Beach club and Dive Centre is a 3 minute walk. It has a restaurant and sun decks leading into the crystal clear waters. There are fully qualified PADI dive instructors. A courtesy bus service into Kalkan is offered to its customers. Kulube hotel, a 5 minute stroll away, has beautiful landscaped gardens and terraces for sunbathing and direct access to the sea.
The beautiful sandy Patara beach and famous Kaputas beach are a 10 to 20 minute drive away. Kalkan town has a small pebbly beach.
Golf
Available near Dalaman, a 90 minute drive away.
Travel
The nearest airport is Dalaman which is approximately 90 mins drive by car, alternatively Antalya airport is about 3 hours drive from Kalkan. You can fly to Dalaman or Antalya from all major UK airports via a large range of tour operaters.We can arrange airport transfers to Villa Elsa if required. A car is not essential when staying at the villa as local amenities are close by. Public transport and Taxi services are good and reasonably priced.
Distances
Kalkan town is a 15-20 minute walk away. The pretty town of Kas is a 20 minute scenic coastal drive away. There are many sites of archaeological interest on the Lycian Way such as Xanthos, Kekova, Letoon, Saklikent and Tlos close to Kalkan. Trips to these sites can be arranged through agents in Kalkan.
Further details
Good dining is a way of life in Kalkan, whether in the locantas among the locals where a meal costs a few pounds or by candlelight in the atmospheric harbourside restaurants or the romantic roof terrace restaurants for which Kalkan is renowned. Alternatively you can take a short trip into the hills and the pretty village of Ismalar with its trickling streams and springs and enjoy a dish of locally caught fresh trout traditionally cooked in olove oil.
Kalkan has an array of sophisticated antique shops, fashion boutiques, art galleries, jewellers, hand painted chinaware shops along with traditional souvenier outlets. Authentic hand woven Turquish rugs and carpets are also widely sold. Shopping in Kalkan should never be rushed and you will inevitably be offerd a glass of traditional Turquish tea by your host whilst browsing. The maze of cobbled lanes that wind their way down to the harbour are perfectly complimented by bougainvillea clad pensions, shops and restaurants.
If you plan to self cater there are plenty of supermarkets in Kalkan from which to purchase food and consumables and many will deliver to the villa. There is an excellent fish market, butchers and stalls selling locally produced fruit and vegetables at a low price. There is a Thursday market selling a wide range of goods, from locally produced fruit and spices, to jewellery, leatherware, souvenirs to clothes with fake designer labels.
A variety of Gulet cruises are available from Kalkan harbour and will often include a visit to Kaputas beach, Mouse Island and the Blue Caves to name but a few destinations. The cost is approximately £10 per person and lunch is provided.
Many hotels in Kalkan offer massage, manicure and Turkish Baths facilities.
Kalkan has several banks and places to exchange money.
Booking notes
A deposit of 25% is required on booking and the balance payable 8 weeks prior to departure or immediately if the booking is made within 8 weeks of the departure date. A refundable security deposit of £200 is required against any breakages and damage. This will be refunded within 14 days of return of the villa keys providing our agent has found everything to be in order after checking the villa inventory.
