For centuries an oasis has been synonymous with a place where you can find rest, rejuvenation and hospitality, which is exactly what we want you to find during you stay. Your own private oasis with pool and sun terraces. From the top floor there are lovely sea views over the olive grove to Kalkan Bay and of course great mountain views. Spread spaciously over 3 floors, accommodation comprises 3 large double bedrooms, open plan living room, kitchen and dining area. In the oasis, there are 3 small terraces surrounding the pool, sun loungers for lazing in the sun, a traditional stone barbeque, and an area for alfresco dining. The Villa Oasis is located in a small, & select development of just 4 villas and 6 apartments built by a well respected local developer known for his attention to detail.

Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible, however is usually Fridays or Mondays due to the flight schedules from the UK to Dalaman.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | Top floor, master suite with 2 double beds. Small terrace with sea views over the olive grove to Kalkan Bay. First floor guest bedroom with a double and single bed & small balcony. Twin bedroom with 2 single beds. All bedrooms fully air conditioned. |
| Bathrooms: | Conveniently located on the ground floor is a shower room which is great for after the pool. On the first floor there a family bathroom with WC, bath & shower and wash basin. There is also an ensuite shower room, WC and wash basin to the master suite. |
| Kitchen: | The kitchen area is open plan leading to the dining area which opens out directly into the 'Oasis'. The kitchen is well equipped with gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, microwave, pans, BBQ tools and all the crockery you will require. |
| Utility Room: | There is a washing machine, iron, ironing board on the top floor and an airer is located on the top floor terrace. Hairdryers are provided in each bedroom. |
| Living Rooms: | Large open plan living area with sofa (this converts to double bed should you need) and armchairs. Sat TV, multimedia centre, a small selection of DVDs & books are available. There is an open fire place. The living area opens onto the oasis and pool. |
| Other: | There is insect meshing is on all windows and doors except the large patio doors opening onto The Oasis. For your added security a safety deposit is provided. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Towels, table and bed linen are included and are changed weekly during your stay. Whilst pool towels are supplied can you please bring your own towels for beach trips. The pool and terraces in the oasis are looked after daily throughout your stay. |
Notes on accommodation
The villa is ideally located within walking distance of cafes and hotels such as Cafe Vita (very reasonable and Mustafa also sells fresh bread, drinks etc to take away), Hotel Lizo (delicious, great value food and fantastic bay views) both less than 5 minutes walk away. The Asfiya Hotel if just a few minutes walk away too, great for a Turkish Bath, and The Elixir Hotel ia almost next door to the villa complex.
The swimming pool is 1.8m deep and has no shallow end. Therefore it is not suitable for children unless they are supervised and accompanied by an adult at all times.
The voltage in Turkey is 220 volts. You will need to use an adapter as the plugs are 2 pin.
We use a key card system in the villa, similar to that found in hotels. When you leave the villa and remove the card key, the lights will automatically go off. Please note that this does not affect the fridge and air conditioning or outside and pool lights.

Accessibility
Kalkan is beautiful but it is also a hilly resort. Our villa is located on the Kalamar Road just up from and opposite The Lizo Hotel and just past The Paper Moon.
It is about a 10 minute downhill stroll to the centre of Kalkan or 15 minutes to the harbour restaurants and beach area. You may prefer a short 4 minute taxi ride home, the prices are quite reasonable.
Whilst there are no steps for access, however the villa's location may not be suitable for those with mobilty problems.
Outside
The Climate in Kalkan is similar to that of Southern California and the sea water temperature rarely drops below 16°c allowing a swimming season of around 9 months. The resort also benefits from the 'Meltem' - a seasonal wind which brings a welcome breeze to the scorching summer afternoons!
Therefore in The Villa Oasis the focus is really all about outside summer living and perfect for relaxing with friends and family.There are 3 small terraces surrounding your own private pool, one set up for alfresco dining with dining table & chairs, there is a traditional stone built BBQ should you fancy cooking and entertaining alfresco.
There are ample sun loungers and 2 large quality umbrellas for some welcome shade during the heat of the day.
There is a small garden with palm tree in the oasis area (of course!), stunning bouganvillea, hibiscus, cactus, oleander, bright red geraniums and banana tree.
Coast/Beach
The Kalkan area has several beautiful beaches:
Kalkan beach (pebbles) is only a 15 mins walk from the villa. Patara beach, 11 miles of beautiful golden, unspoilt beach, is a 20 mins drive away and Kaputus Beach, a lovely sandy cove often featured in travel brochures, is a 10 minute drive away. There are also numerous beach clubs and hotels in Kalkan open to both residents and non residents. The full range of water sports are available including Scuba diving from the dive centres.

The nearest airport is Dalaman approximately 100 mins from Kalkan. We can help arrange airport transfers for you if you wish.
Distances
Kalkan is the ideal location for exploring this part of Turkey's beautiful Turquoise Coast and the sites of ancient Lycia. It's one of the most unspoilt areas of the Mediterranean.
Possible trips: Kekova (boats trips to sunken city of Simena), bohemian Kas, Fethiye, Salikent Gorge, Kayakoy (the abandoned ghost greek town which inspired the book 'Bird Without Wings'). Sites of Ancient Lycia: Xanthos, Letoon, Pinara, Myra rock tombs Tlos, Patara. Perhaps you want to walk part of The Lycian Way?
Further details
At night Kalkan and the harbour take on an altogether different feel, the town is well known for it's many rooftop restaurants which offer a wide variety of local, turkish and international cuisine not to forget the magical views of the sea, snake & mouse islands, and clear starry skies. The shops sell everything from spices to traditional kilims and carpets and everything in between. These stay open until midnight. For a real taste of local life and bargain hunting of course, the weekly market is a must.
Booking notes
Please check availability before enquiring. Red indicates the villa is booked. A deposit of 25% is required to secure a booking, with the balance due 8 weeks before departure. In the case of cancellation 8 weeks or more to departure a loss of deposit only will apply, if cancellation is within 8 weeks of departure a sliding scale refund will apply.
