Stylishly furnished, Mavi Koy occupies two floors and provides you with every luxury. There is an extremely large shared freshwater pool (25m x 10m) and spacious terrace. Each appartment has their own sunbeds and umbrellas to relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and there is private parking and 24 hour security. This exclusive private estate is maintained to a very high standard. Mavi Koy itself has a high degree of privacy inside the apartment and on the upper Ottoman terrace area, a privacy that is not enjoyed by some of the other apartments. The cool coastal breezes benefit this light and airy apartment. Close by there is a good choice of local shops, bars and restaurants. A stroll down the hill and the many restaurants and shops in Kalkan Town will delight you.

| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
All towels and bed linen are included, (not beach towels). The towels and bedlinen are changed twice weekly by the maid who also visits daily for a light clean and to empty all the bins. Friendly, helpful staff are on site 24 hrs a day to look after you. |
Notes on accommodation
Mavi Koy is jointly owned by two families who holiday there as often as possible. The name means 'Blue Bays' and is a holiday home from home which you will fall in love with. We would advise that given its location with steps throughout the complex it is not really suitable for those with limited mobility. Families with children of all ages are very warmly welcomed. Non smokers please. A welcome pack is provided on arrival.

Outside
The huge tear drop shaped pool is approx 25m x 10m, and is kept in crystal clear condition. There is also a small toddler pool adjoining and a large terrace area with showers. It is shared between the 15 apartments in the complex. Beautiful gardens and stunning views all around complete the picture of tranquility, peace and relaxation.
Coast/Beach
Kalkan pebble beach nestles by the picturesque town harbour and is only a 15 minute walk from Mavi Koy. There are many restaurants on the harbour front. Kaputas beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Turkey, is about 10 minutes by car. Patara beach, 30 mins by car, has 20km of golden sand and is in the Times Top 10! Also in Kalkan there are several beach clubs where you can sunbathe and swim from rock platforms and enjoy a variety of watersports.
Travel
Kalkan is approx 90 minutes from Dalaman Airport and 3 hours from Antalya Aiport. Transport and car hire can be arranged if required. Local buses and taxis are plentiful and cheap so car hire is not essential.
Local supermarkets are nearby and will deliver your shopping to Mavi Koy.
Distances
Kalkan town centre is just 1 km downhill from Mavi Koy. It is possible to find picturesque mountain villages with wonderful trout restaurants about 8km away. Also nearby are many historic and cultural sites such as Kekova (sunken city), Letoon and Xanthos. For thrills and excitement visit Saklikent Gorge. Also within easy driving distance are the larger towns of Kas and Fethiye. Market days in Kalkan, Kas and Fethiye are lively. On foot, explore the Lycian Way which passes through Kalkan.

Kalkan is a small harbour town located on the southern turkish Mediterranean coast. The picturesque location and genuine hospitality will bring you back time and again. Many wonderful restaurants will delight you with the variety of dishes available, and turkish cuisine has a very deserved reputation. You will discover delicious mezze dishes and fresh grilled meats and fish. The beer and wine compliment the food perfectly. The restaurants and shops on the narrow cobbled streets that lead to the harbour throng with life in the evenings giving you the opportunity to buy some Turkish craftwork to bring home. Relax, drink and dine overlooking Kalkan harbour and the elegant wooden gulets, which you can hire for a lazy day at sea. Children are made especially welcome by the Turkish people. Kalkan is a very special place with something for everyone, we are sure you will love it.
Booking notes
A non-refundable deposit of £100 or 20% (whichever is the greater) of the full rental price is required at the time of booking and full settlement is required 8 weeks prior to departure. Rentals are per week and do not include flights, transfers or car hire etc. Transfers are approx £70 each way from Dalaman (paid locally).
