This villa, in which the owners were involved with the architect and project manager throughout the design and build, was built in 2007. They have lovingly created a beautiful and characterful "home from home" in Kalkan - a place they have been visiting for 20 years. There is a glorious roof terrace as well.

Preferred changeover day is Friday, but we can be flexible where bookings allow. Please check the availability calendar on this website.

2 bedrooms with twin beds.
1 cot and 1 campbed for children.
Bathrooms: En suite bathrooms to each bedroom, 2 with additional baths.
Kitchen: Fully equipped kitchen with cooker, hob, extractor, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, cafetiere, mixer, toaster, kettle, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and glasswear, highchair.
Utility Room: With washing machine, iron & ironing board, airers, sink, second fridge and chilled water dispenser unit. Plates, cups and cutlery for poolside use.
Living Rooms: Main living room on ground floor which is open plan with kitchen. Second living room at pool level (below ground floor).
Roof terrace with small service area, fridge, table and chairs, 4 floor cushions, and fabulous views.
Other: 2 double bedrooms on first floor with small table and 2 chairs on balcony.
All levels enjoy balconies, with sea views on first and second floors.
Sofabed at each of living and pool level.
Safe available for personal belongings.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Towels and linen included (plus 8 beach towels). The villa is cleaned once a week and linen changed weekly. Other arrangements can be made at extra cost. The pool and terrace is cleaned daily and garden watered.

Notes on accommodation
Please note smoking is not allowed in the bedrooms.
A mobile "pay as you go" telephone. No internet access.
Accommodation is fully air conditioned. There is also underfloor central heating.

Accessibility
The property is partially designed for wheelchair users at ground floor and basement (pool) level. An illuminated side path leads down to the basement pool area where there is a bedroom with wide doors and bathroom with bath and walk-in shower/wet room. The ground floor comprises open plan kitchen/sitting room.

Outside
On site parking for 1 car but adjacent parking available. Illuminated private swimming pool with terrace area and small garden. 7 wooden sunbeds and 2 parasols, table and chairs (8) and barbecue. Poolside service/utility room with sink, fridge, washing machine, iron, ironing board, airers, and chilled water dispenser unit. Poolside shower.

Coast/Beach
We are a 5 minute walk from Villa Mahal, an acclaimed hotel with restaurant, swimming and sun bathing facilities + boat service to Kalkan harbour. Local beaches include Kaputas, Mahal, Club Patara Prince, Palm Beach, Kalkan village beach and Kalamar Bay. Bob's cafe/minimarket is 2 mins. walk away & will deliver take-aways, water etc. Centre of Kalkan takes 5 mins. by car/taxi or a walk of about half an hour. Patara Prince (& spa), Palm Beach & Kalamar offer free car collect/return service.

Travel
The nearest airport is Dalaman approximately 1 1/2 hrs. We can recommend a travel agent in the UK who specializes in flights to Turkey, and also assist in arranging transfers and car hire. It is not essential to have a car at the villa as taxis are easily available. The local dolmus (bus) service is also cheap and efficient & runs between Kisla & Kalkan hourly in the main season. Taxi drivers will also negotiate a good value daily rate to take you sightseeing.

Distances
Kalkan is 5 minutes by car. Islamlar, mountain village, is 20 mins. drive where you can enjoy the famous trout restaurants whilst taking in breathtaking views of Kalkan and beyond. Berzigan is a fascinating village sitting on the bed of an old lake above Kalkan where traditional farming is a fascination to visitors. Other interesting local sites include Lettoon, Xanthos, Tlos, Patara Beach (20km long & home of protected turtles & noteable Roman remains) and the Saklikent Gorge.

Further details
Kisla is a quiet residential area set in a cove in Kalkan bay served by a small cafe/supermarket "Bob's cafe" who will also offer take-away/free delivery meals. There are also 2 other restaurants very close by (Mahal & Fidanka).
Kalkan is a beautiful harbour resort surrounded by breathtaking scenery at the foot of the Taurus mountains. The village retains an authentic Turkish feel with narrow streets, colourful shops and an abundance of restaurants and bars. Many of the latter have roof terraces with stunning views of the mountains and bay where one can while away the hours. There are also banks, post-office, supermarkets etc.
On Thursday Kalkan has a market where you can purchase anything from fresh produce, spices, clothes and kitchenware.

Booking notes
To secure booking, a non-refundable 30% deposit is required with balance due no later than 6 weeks prior to departure. We reserve right to re-advertise your dates following non-receipt of final payment. Loss & breakage deposit of £200 is required, or 15% of booking fee at time of paying balance (whichever is higher). This will be returned subject to no breakages, damage or losses, within two weeks of return. We do not have insurance to cover guests possessions, personal injury or loss.

We have had the most fantastic holiday ever! Your villa is beautiful. Our youngest son said it was like being in paradise. None of us wanted to come home. The boys just loved the pool and being so close to the sea too was a big plus - we couldn't have been better situated. We all agreed Kalkan was the best place to stay. Ian & Janet.
