It provides fantastic views across the bay with the bonus of a shady area from the midday sun. There are 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms with all bedrooms opening onto balconies providing you with more of those spectacular views. Kalkan offers as much as you wish to do by way of exploring ancient sites, walking, fishing and variety of water sports or just total relaxation away from it all, catching a cooling sea breeze on the roof terrace whilst watching the sun slowly sinking below the horizon.

Notes on accommodation
The villa is especially suitable for families as it provides tremendous flexibility in its accommodation. A cot and high chair are available to use. It is fully air conditioned throughout with heating if necessary during winter months. The villa is a smoke-free villa, therefore, smoking is only permitted outside. Accessibility
When booking consideration should be given to the fact that the villa is accessed via steps. Close proximity to the town centre and all amenities, yet far enough away to provide a peaceful environment. No need for taxis or car hire. Situated between the blue painted school (formerly green) and the Elite Apartments (formerly Elite Hotel).
Outside
A large sun terrace with ample space and shaded area for outdoor dining make it ideal for just lounging by the pool, or making use of the traditional stone BBQ for those al fresco meals. A fabulous traditional Ottoman Seating area has been created in the private garden providing shade and beautiful views across the bay. A romantic place for dinner at night or a place to relax and snooze during the day. Sun loungers with mattresses, sun umbrellas and drinks tables are also provided for your comfort and convenience. All bedroom balconies have traditional wrought iron tables and chairs to sit and enjoy the views as well as large lounging cushions up on the roof terrace.
Coast/Beach
The nearest supermarket and all the banks with ATMs are less than 5 mins walk away and a 10 mins stroll brings you to the cobbled streets of Kalkan Old Town overhung with ottoman balconies and bouganvillea as they wind their way down to the harbour and local beach. Beautiful Kaputas beach with its crystal blue water is a 5 min drive or hop on the dolmus (bus) to the famous 20km long sandy beach of Patara only 15 mins away.
Travel
Dalaman airport provides a year round service, most of the well known charter airlines fly there from Gatwick, Manchester and other UK airports. Transfers take about 1hr 40 mins from Dalaman and is a very scenic journey. Private transfers/car hire usually arranged for all guests, paybable locally. Please request quote when booking.
Distances
There are many places close by to visit including gorge walking, kayaking or just relaxing at Saklikent Gorge appx 30 mins drive. Take a boat trip to see the sunken city at Kekova or around the bays and islands at Kalkan. The nearest town, Kas is 20 mins drive. Fethiye is 45 mins drive with its large weekly market as well as its famed fish market where you can select your fish and have it freshly cooked in front of you.
Further details
Kalkan is an old fishing village which has a beautiful harbour front and many fine old buildings with traditional overhanging balconies. The village comes alive at night with an abundance of restaurants open to suit all pockets and tastes, providing the very best of Turkish cuisine. Also a wonderful selection of boutiques, jewellery stores and traditional shops. There is an excellent weekly market 2 minutes from the villa selling a huge choice of fresh fruit and vegetables as well as very good copies of designer clothing and handbags. Other activities to choose from are various daily boat trips sailing from Kalkan or the sunken city at Kekova, as well as excellent diving, canoeing and horseriding.
Booking notes
A 20% deposit is required when booking your reservation. The outstanding balance will be due 12 weeks prior to departure as well as a £250 security/damage deposit. Providing there are no breakages/damage this will be returned in full within 14 days of your return home.
