Tas Evi is a self catering, large, luxury stone villa with a magnificent location perched on a hillside with fantastic views of the ‘Ghost Town’ of Kaya Köy and across the valley floor with rolling hills which frame the beautiful sunsets. The house has enormous character as is made up of 2 renovated traditional stone houses which are now historically protected along with the other deserted stone houses in the old Greek village in the valley. It is backed by forestry land and guests may be woken to the gentle sound of goat bells. The hamlet of Keçiler Köyü is 10 minutes drive from the harbour town of Fethiye which was the main port for the Lycian coast and 15 minutes from Olüdeniz beach on the famous turquoise coast. There are also numerous places of historical interest within easy distance. Also many local walks and activities for those who want more than relaxing by pool.

Private swimming pool 5x9 meters and surrounded by various terraces and gardens with olive trees, fruit trees and plants. BBQ area in terrace next to pool with views over valley.
Coast/Beach
A beautiful walk to the nearest beach is 50 minutes, not accessible by car. Nearest beaches are Olu Deniz (famous) and Gemiler (famous for ancient ruins) both approx 15 mins by car.
Golf
Horse riding - 5 minutes
Beaches - various from 10 to 20 minutes in any direction
Paragliding - 15 minutes
Special interest holidays
Lots of history here and ancient sites of interest are in abundance. The walks and hikes in the area are just stunning.
Travel
Nearest airport Dalaman 40 km. Car hire recommended and can be arranged.
Distances
Market town of Fethiye is the nearest big town and is a 10 minute drive. Many other places of interest which includes ancient ruins from Lycian, Byzantine and Roman times are all within a days return drive, as are natural sights and other small harbour towns.
Further details
Many local restaurants are within easy walking distance and range from modest Turkish cuisine to up market eating places.
This area is famous for it's ancient history as well as the deserted Greek village made famous by Louise De Bernieres book, "Birds Without Wings". These sites can be reached by the many walks and trails in the valley.

Bookings are confirmed by a 25% non-refundable deposit with balance due 6 weeks prior to departure. Cancellation prior to 30 days before commencement of holiday will repay 50%, less than 30 days 0%

About the owner
We are John and Louise and we live in our villa over the winter months so we can continue to improve, renovate and add things to make your stay more comfortable, enjoyable and happy. Then in the summer months, we go sailing on the beautiful Turkish coast and Greek islands while the villas and guests are looked after by our excellent staff led by Cem who speaks perfect English.
