Villa Rhapsody was built in 2004, and stands overlooking the Mediterranean coast and the centre of Kalkan which is a short distance away. The property has it's own pool along with a manageable sized garden with an olive tree in it that is over a hundred years old. Inside the property there is an open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area from where access can gained to the sun lounge where views across the Mediterranean can be enjoyed in the evening and during Winter time. Upstairs there are two air-conditioned double bedrooms with built-in wardrobes and en-suite facilities. There is a balcony which can be accessed seperately from each bedroom, where in the morning you can sit and enjoy the fantastic views all around you, whilst having a relaxing breakfast. On the roof terrace there is a covered pergolla complete with privacy screens and seating and a bar area with fridge etc, where you can enjoy a relaxing drink whilst watching the sun go down over Kalkan and the Mediterranean coast.

The rental prices shown above are per week, and are payable only in UK Pounds. Note - The 2nd week booked prices shown above include the 20% discount that is on offer.
Prices for 2009, have been reduced in to try and help customers to enjoy their vacation with their family or friends, during period of economic recession. 20% discount is offered for a second week that is booked, confirmed and paid for eight weeks before date of departure and is reflected in the 2nd week prices shown above.

Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | The main bedroom has a double bed in it along with built-in wardrobes, dressing table etc. Bedroom two has 2 single beds in it along with built-in wardrobes. Both bedrooms are air conditioned as well as having ceiling fans and open out onto the balcony. |
| Bathrooms: | Both of the bedrooms have fully tiled en-suite facilities complete with shower, low level wc and wash hand basin with storage area underneath. |
| Kitchen: | The open plan kitchen area has an electric cooker, new gas hob top (bottled gas), microwave, toaster, electric kettle, washing machine, fridge freezer in it along with a marble top breakfast bar complete with seating for four (4) people. |
| Living Rooms: | The property has an open plan dining / lounge area that leads into the sun lounge from where access to the pool and garden can be obtained. All areas are fully furnished and include LCD TV, DVD and stereo system. The lounge also has a working fireplace. |
| Other: | There is a downstairs toilet with low level wc and wash hand basin just before the stairs leading up to the bedrooms. At the top of the property there is a roof terrace and pergolla where you can watch the sun go down over Kalkan after a day in the sun. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Towels and bed linen are provided and the property is regularly cleaned and maintained by a local Property Maintenance company I utilize. Additional cleaning and laundry services can be provided upon rerquest. |
Notes on accommodation
The open plan downstairs area and both of the bedrooms have split level air-conditioning (cold / warm air) units and ceiling fans in them. A wrought iron hand rail has been fixed to wall of the stairs to assist people climbing up and coming down the stairs which are quite steep. The double glazed sun lounge provides an extra room where one can sit and relax whilst listening to some music without being disturbed or disturbing others who might want to watch TV or a DVD in the main lounge area - or perhaps simply just to 'chill out' in and enjoy the views across Kalkan and the Mediterranean coast at night. A covered pergola with privacy screens, furniture and a granite top bar area complete with fridge have been added to the roof terrace, so that you can now sit and enjoy a relaxing drink whilst watching the sun go down over the Mediterranean. The breakfast bar has a new marble top and new blue and white striped sunshade deck chairs have also been added to the pool patio area.

Outside
Outside the property, there is a decent sized private pool and garden area which is maintained regularly by the Property Maintenance company I utilize. There are four sun beds and a two blue and white striped sunshade deck chairs available for use around the pool area. There is also a parking area in the road outside the front of the villa that can accommodate a maximum of two (2) vehicles.
Coast/Beach
It is recommended that one takes a taxi from the centre of Kalkan to its surrounding coast line and beaches which are about 5 to 10 minutes drive away and cost about 15 YTL (£6).
Travel
Dalaman is the nearest airport to Kalkan and is open all year and is used by Fly Thomas Cook, Fly Be, etc. A taxi from the airport to Kalkan will cost between £65 - 75 and takes about 1 1/2 hours to get there. It is suggested that if you plan to do any sightseeing whilst in Kalkan that you hire a car in advance as you will always have transportation available whenever you need it. Car Hire and collection from Dalaman Airport can be arranged and costs £50 for a maximum of four (4) passengers.
Distances
Villa Rhapsody is located within 10- 15 minutes walking distance or just a couple of minutes by car from the centre of Kalkan with its many interesting shops, restaurants and bars. Kalkan also has its own local market which is held every Thursday where a wide variety of fresh fruit and vegetables, spices etc and local / other produce can be purchased.
Further details
In the harbour area of Kalkan you can arrange to be taken on diving trips or on day trips to visit one of the many surrounding islands. There are also many Tourism outlets located in the centre of Kalkan advertising day trips to many varied places of interest. If you have hired a car then a journey along the Mediterranean coast to Kas is highly recommended.

Grahame, I have just spent a fantastic 2 weeks at your villa in Kalkan, what terrific views. I may indeed wish to return next year especially with your offer on tarif, however I will have to let you know later. To be honest we loved Kalkan so much we are actively looking for property ourselves,Turkey is much better than we had anticipated, do you have any insider tips on Kalkan or buying etc?
