There are stair gates to the stair cases. A cot and high chair are available on request.
Accessibility
The villa is not suitable for wheelchairs. As it is in the foothills, you either need to be moderately fit or use the cheap and readily available taxis.
Outside
40m2 private pool single depth pool 1.5 metres. Cleaned daily. Surrounded by terrace and flowerbeds. Eight loungers with mattresses, four umbrellas and poolside table and chairs. Three steps down to 40m2 terrace planted fruit and flower garden with pergola. Lights throughout outdoor area including in pool.
Coast/Beach
Olu Deniz Beach is a 10 minute drive away. Famous for the Blue Lagoon, one of the best beaches in the Med, perfect for sunbathing and swimming. The turquoise water is crystal clear. The sea and sky blend into the mountain backdrop. You can paraglide, microlight or take a boat from here too. Also the sheltered bay in Fethiye makes it ideal for snorkelling and scuba diving.
Travel
Dalaman airport is just 60 kms from the villa. Public transport is readily available and cheap but for convenience a car is a good idea. Hire can be arranged by our local representatives.
Distances
Hisaronu is about a 25 minute walk away, with its pedestrianised streets, a wealth of shops, bars, restaurants and a local market on Mondays. Fethiye is 15 minutes by car and is a large harbour town with great boat trips, shops and restaurants and a very large Tuesday Market.
Further details
The villa is very well placed for exploring the extensive coastline and historical sites that characterise this area. All can be visited in orgainsed tours if you do not want to hire a car.

About the owner
My husband and I are now semi-retired. Recep is Turkish and I am from the West Country. I have spent my working life in education. Recep was originally in the hotel business and when he came to live in England he worked in secondary schools. We now go twice a year to the villa for about six weeks each time, we love being there.
Year purchased: 2003
Why the owner chose a home in this location
We had been holidaying in the area for many years and thought it would be great to have our own place.
We fell in love with the villa design and location at first sight. It is very close to one of the best beaches in Turkey-Olu Deniz, and fifteen minutes drive to a large seaside town-Fethiye. It is in the quiet foothills of the mountains and only 15 minutes walk to all the shops and restaurants you could wish for.
Unique benefits of the property
There is always a lovely breeze and no humidity no matter how hot it is in the town. The small development of eight villas, in its horseshoe shape, means there is plenty of space and stunning open views. Recep loves gardening and our gardens are gorgeous. He has planted a huge variety of beautiful flowers and fruit trees. Depending on when you are there you can pick your own cherries, grapes, sharon fruits, peaches, figs or pomegranates. We have lovely local English agents who live in Turkey all year round, we have a long established relationship with the Turkish garden and pool maintenance crew and a very reliable car hire and airport transfer Turkish agent. Having a private pool is the icing on the cake!
