Villa Cirali is a spacious open plan house with cool marble floors and air conditioning. It has five double bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and private pool 3.5m x 7.5m. 15 min walk to three beaches and promenade,which is well served with a large variety of restaurants and bars. The villa is in a quiet area away from noise of nightlife and with its private pool is well suited for families.

Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible but in the case of guests leaving and arriving on the same day, either the leaving party leaves at 11am and the incoming guests arrive at 2pm, or alternative arrangements can be made if both parties are willing.

The house is on three floors, the stairs are marble.
Accessibility
Not suitable for the frail and elderly due to uneven roads.
Outside
Large outside patio area around private pool (3.5 x 7.5m). Table and chairs on balcony. Loungers are provided. Small garden area with lemon, lime and palm trees.
Coast/Beach
The beaches are gently sloping and clear water, very suitable for children. There are three beaches to choose from and all have varying activities. Excellent fishing and cruise trips available around the bays.
Travel
Flights can be taken into Bodrum and Altinkum is approx 1 hour North. Outside charter flight times, flights can be taken into Izmir, which is 2 hours away. Car hire is recommended for sightseeing but not necessary as there are many tour buses running from the town.
Distances
Ephesus the largest and most preserved ancient city in the Mediterranean in just over an hour away. Also the orocular santuary of Apollo is in the local town of Didim only 15 minutes away. There are also two water parks, one just outside Didim and a larger one at the town of Kusadasi over an hour away. Tours for most tourist sites leave from Altinkum everyday.

About the owner
We are a family of six with 4 boys, so we needed somewhere with space and freedom to be ourselves. We bought Villa Cirali in 2004 and have been returning to Turkey every year. We find the area safe and quiet, with entertainment within walking distance. The food bill in particular was a concern for us, therefore Turkey has been an excellent choice. We tend to eat away from the seafront and blend in with the locals where meals are considerably cheaper. We are fairly easy going and understand the pressures of taking children on holiday. We hope you enjoy Turkey as much as we do and if we can give any advice - Please ask!!

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We bought in this area because it is close to the beach as well as the shops. The street is dominated by detached houses and many are occupied by long term expats, who keep an eye on things! Altinkum is an hours transfer from Bodrum or 1.5 hours from Izmir. The Turkish families around us are friendly and welcoming, added to which, the new marina offers excellent trips to Kos and boat trips around the coast.
Unique benefits of the property
The villa is very spacious with 4 balconies, offering privacy and a view. The rooms all have air conditioning and shutters to keep the midday sun out. The shutters as well as the window grates/bars offer security, there is also a safe. The villa has its own private pool. There is also a small shop close to the villa for fresh bread and toiletries. The house is within walking distance to the resort centre, although most retaurants offer a free pickup and return service. There is a large British expat community and neighbours are often happy to offer advice or help.
