This spacious fully air-conditioned two bedroom ground floor apartment with its own private garden/patio areas, overlooking the main pool. It is set in the extremely popular Mediterranean Apartment complex. The double apartment consists of two 1 bedroom apartments joined through an archway providing 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathroom, large lounge and separate kitchen and dining room all on ground level. It has 2 private garden/patio areas, Ideally located beside the village centre, only 2 minutes walk away from main shops, bank, post office, etc., yet in a peaceful location overlooking olive groves and Kalkan Village. The apartment is set in superb landscaped gardens, leading directly onto the main pool with a choice of a further 4 well maintained communal pools within the grounds.

Changeover day
Flexible. Available from 4pm on day of your arrival and must be vacated by 12 noon on the day of your departure. Depending on other bookings, it may be possible to arrive earlier or stay later, dependent on other guest requests.

Notes on accommodation
'Padua' Apartment is fully air-conditioned, as well as a fan. Additional mosquito window screens to provide comfortable ventilation in each room. Large capacity water heater. TV/DVD player is provided together with iPod station and hair dryers. A barbecue and unbreakable glasses are provided for outdoor/ poolside use. For the comfort of all our guests, we request that smoking be kept to a minimum and confined to the outside garden/patio areas.
Accessibility
'Padua' apartment is accessed at ground level directly from the main road at the front of the complex, directly next to the Main Pool.
Outside
Padua Apartment is set in the beautifully maintained Mediterranean apartment complex and leads directly onto the main pool from the private garden & paved patio area. There is ample terracing around the pools for sunbathing. 6 sun loungers, mattresses and a large parasol are provided with the Apartment. Rear garden/patio has outside table and 4 chairs, 2 bar stools set around walled area and space for private sunbathing. Front garden/patio has coffee table, Sofa and 2 chairs to relax in the privacy of own grounds.
Coast/Beach
Kalkan is a beautiful fishing village with harbour & magnificent restaurants (mainly rooftop and harbour side), renowned for their high standards and friendly service. The narrow winding streets leading to the harbour consist of chic boutiques, traditional and european crafts, also jewellery to suit everyone. There are a number of beach clubs around Kalkan bay that can be reached by water taxi. Alternatively, the town beach with sunbed hire, where you can enjoy lunch on the harbour!
Travel
Dalaman Airport and now the opening of the Gocek tunnel, the car journey from airport to Kalkan is approx. 1 hour and 30 minutes. We can arrange all transfers or private car hire to the Apartment. Car hire is not essential in Kalkan as all facilities are so close to the Apartment. Outings to local places of interest can be accessed by dolmus or taxi. However car hire is available in the village if required.
Distances
Kalkan is amid many places of interest. The town of Kas is approx. 30 minutes away on the dolmus. There is also Fethiye, a larger harbour town lying in easy reach of Olu Deniz, approximately 1 hour by dolmus. Also within an hours drive are Xanthos and Sydyma, the spectacular Saklikent gorge and the underwater remains at Kekova. Patara beach, famous for its turtles, can be reached by dolmus within 20 minutes.
Further details
Everything is within easy reach of the clear blue Mediterranean sea. Daily boat trips can be arranged at the harbour, which offer great value for money with lunch not to be missed.!! There are lots of walks in and around Kalkan that may interest those nature lovers. A meal in the local trout farm/restaurants set high in the mountains behind Kalkan should not be missed as the views and food are spectacular. Every Thursday Kalkan has their market, offering leather goods, silver, clothing, pottery, linen, fresh fruit and vegetables.
Booking notes
£100 deposit (per week booked) non refundable secures the reservation. Balance to be paid 8 weeks prior to departure. A returnable deposit against damage of £100 is also required at this time. Payments can be made directly to bank account and details will be provided on booking the reservation.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We bought the property from new mainly because of its fabulous prime location beside Kalkan Village and also the overall appearance of a wonderful complex and the high standard building structure. We purchased 2 one bedroomed appartments and the developer made adjustments to make a much larger 2 bedroom apartment at ground level with lovely private gardens and patio areas. This provided us with the ideal 2nd home to share with our family and friends. We have been doing this for the past 6 years, but now feel we would like to give other couples/families the opportunity to also enjoy our home in the sun when we can't.
Unique benefits of the property
We find the residents and guests at the Meditteranean Appts so friendly and have made lots of new friends over the past 6 years. We enjoy the quiet but convenient location to the village ideal. We also find that the two apartments knocked into one have provided far more space to us than what the Duplex Apartments would have offered on the complex. We love the additional outside space in the garden area and patio as this is where we find we spend most of our time during the summer months, relaxing and socialising. We also have direct access from the garden area onto the main pool and terrace which is special when lit up on a night.
