Onyx 8 is a luxury villa situated close to all facilities with a private pool, surrounded by grass and trees. To get to the villa you walk up some steps from the small access road. It is less than a two minute stroll to the main site facilities, where you can buy fresh bread and juice for breakfast on the terrace. The shady terrace leads out to the lawn and pool in front of the villa. The nearest beaches are sandy with sunbeds and a cafe. The private beach can be reached by shuttle bus which runs from the site in peak season. Other resorts can be reached from a bus stop two minutes walk from the site entrance. The villa is equipped with all modern comforts including fresh linen and air-conditioning.

| Living Rooms: | The lounge has two royal blue comfortable sofas with a TV, DVD player and ipod docking station. The dining area is large and the walls are adorned with colourful pictures. This leads out onto the patio for alfresco dining with a built-in barbecue. |
| Other: | All bedrooms and the living room have air-conditioning and plug in mosquito repellent units. Bedrooms have black-out lined curtains.The roof area tiled and is ideal for sunbathing. There is a sink, kettle and fridge located at the top of the stairs here. |

Price includes all bedlinen and white towels. A 5 litre bottle of drinking water is available for all guests on arrival. The villa is cleaned prior to and after departure. Additional cleaning and beach towels can be arranged on request. |

Notes on accommodation
No car is necessary. An airport transfer can be arranged at the time of booking there are 4-5 restaurants in walking distance and buses run regularly to and from Bodrum. However if you prefer to stock up in a supermarket and explore the area more fully it may be wise to hire a car for at least part of your stay. In peak season cars need to be booked well in advance.
Accessibility
The villa is situated on the side of a hill on a terrace. There are 7-8 steps up from a small access road up to the garden area these steps have a railing. A marble pathway leads round the back of the villa to the main door. There are two steps up to the door and two steps down to the pool. The downstairs bathroom is an advantage to those with limited mobility. All bedrooms are on the first floor, accessible via the marble staircase.
Outside
From the kitchen and dining areas, there are glass doors that lead out to a shady tiled terrace with tiled wrought iron table and built in barbecue. From here two steps lead down to a lovely garden area with 2 sunbeds around a good sized pool. From the patio you can watch your family and friends in the private pool and take in the breathtaking views of the lake and mountains beyond. The roof terrace has a wrought iron table and chairs and boasts fabulous views. Private parking is available in front of the villa.
Coast/Beach
There is a private beach club which is accessed either by foot (15 minutes walk with hills) or shuttle bus. The beach club has a restaurant and bar, a jetty and sun beds.
The nearest natural beach is Gultan which can also be reached by shuttle bus, this has a cafe, sunbeds with parasols and a diving jetty.
Golf
Less than 5 minutes walk from the accommodation is a 6 hole golf course. This is well kept with a water fountain and lake views. For more serious golfers there is the Vita Park Golf Resort less than 2km from the resort. It has two 18 hole courses in a spectacular setting with a magnificent club house.
Travel
Transfer from Bodrum airport takes approximately half an hour. We can arrange for you to be collected from the airport. there is a good network of Dolmusses (Turkish mini buses) that can take you to different areas on a regular basis, or you can book a car which is well worth it if you want to explore a bit.
Distances
There are two local fishing villages worth visiting approximately 10 minutes drive away. Guvercinlik is a quaint fishing village with restaurants along the waterside. Bogazici is another village on the side of the estuary which has restaurants and boat trips. Bodrum is 30 minutes by car or bus. The ancient city of Ephesus is a 2 hour drive away and the calcium springs of Pamukale are 31/2 hours away. Kos can be reached by ferry, as can Rhodes.
Further details
This area of Turkey is considered by Turks and foreigners alike to be one of the most interesting areas of Turkey to holiday. There is literally something for everyone. For those who like culture and history, the area is steeped in this. For the sporty types there is golf, windsurfing and diving, for the families there are the beaches and the Aqua Parks, and for the very young families there are the playgrounds and splash pools on site. For those who like shopping, there is Bodrum town for the wonderful textiles and popular designer brands.
Milas market for fresh fruit and veg, local honey can be reached by local minibuses. The Turkish restaurants have a wonderful choice of flavours and tastes including the stuffed vine leaves, savoury pancakes and the freshly barbecued sea bass and sea bream.
Booking notes
A deposit of 25% of the total rental cost is required to secure your booking. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to departure. A refundable security deposit of £150 is payable with the balance which will be reimbursed within two weeks after you return to the UK.

I live in England with my husband and three children. My husband and I both work and spend most of our holidays in Turkey, where we have good friends and have really fallen in love with the country.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We bought the villa off plan 5 years ago after spending many holidays in the Bodrum region. I was delighted when it was finished on time and we were able to come out and furnish it.
We have three children between 10 and 15 and we bought the villa in order to spend some fun holidays in the sun with them as they are growing up.
We love the area because the people are really friendly, the apartment is peaceful and relaxing and the weather is fantastic.
It's only 1/2 an hour from Bodrum airport which is a huge advantage.
Unique benefits of the property
We came out for nearly every school holiday last year and we are exploring the area. We have done boat trips where they cook a barbeque on the beach. We have visited Pamukale and Ephesus and we have been windsurfing and played tennis.
The great thing about this villa is that we can walk straight out to the private pool. The children also love the main pool with bar and restaurant where they can use the waterslide and meet other children.
Friends stayed in nearby villas last year and we had some lovely barbeque evenings in each others villas.
