Set in an idyllic rural location, Villa Be Happy is a unique and stylish villa with stunning views of the Taurus Mountains and the Greek island of Meis in the distance. Lovingly restored by the owner from the ruins of a very old village house, the traditional Turkish style of the building has been preserved. While authentic Turkish furnishings have been used throughout, this house is also fitted with all the modern fittings to make it a luxurious holiday retreat. This is a large property and the spacious layout of Villa Be Happy makes it an ideal choice for families or groups holidaying together. There are two wings in the villa with three distinct levels on each, containing 5x large bedrooms in total. An extraordinary feature is the large swimming pool and surrounding gardens which provide the most glorious natural setting for relaxation and enjoyment – enjoy it by settling in the shade of the almond trees, cooking on the outside barbecue or soaking up the sun by the pool.

Changeover day
The preferred changeover day is Saturday, but this is flexible. Arrival and departure times are also flexible depending upon flight times, but if we have new guests arriving, then checkout is at 12noon and check in for new guests would be at 15.00.

Notes on accommodation
Renovation of villa was completed in 2010. There are stone floors and exposed stone walls throughout, original wood beams and open fireplaces in the living areas and hammam – great for winter time. Air-conditioning in all rooms. The villa is 10 mins outside of Kas in rural area called Bayindir. Car hire is recommended for the duration of your stay, although taxis are easily arranged from Kas if you do not wish to drive yourself.
Accessibility
The property is built on a hillside therefore there are a number of steps leading up to it and up to each bedroom level of the villa. There is one bedroom on the ground floor that avoids some of the steps. People with mobility issues may find this property challenging and young children would need to be closely supervised.
Outside
The large swimming pool and lush surrounding gardens are a key highlight of this property and there are no neighbours/other houses close by, making this a very private setting. The main paved terrace situated directly off the living area has been designed for alfresco dining and has a large wooden table seating 8 x people. Additionally, there are two, shaded Ottoman-style eating areas situated in the garden for dining or just relaxing poolside. You can cook outdoors at the built-in stone barbecue or relax in one of the hammocks hanging from the trees.
Coast/Beach
While the peacefulness of the surroundings at Villa Be Happy is reason enough not to venture far, there are many interesting areas close by to explore, including Buyuk Cakil (Big Pebble) beach which is just a 5-minute drive away via a new road. In Kas town (10mins away) you will find Kucuk Cakil (Small Pebble) beach and many diving platforms at the local hotels. There are two beautiful sandy beaches in the area, Kaputas beach (10mins out of Kas) and Patara about 40 mins drive.
Travel
Dalaman airport - 2 hour transfer.
Antalya airport - 3 hour transfer.
We recommend transfers from the airport and then car hire from the villa. We are happy to arrange both of these services for you – please enquire.
Distances
5kms to Kas. 30kms to Kalkan. Fethiye - 1.5 hours drive. Kekova – 25 mins.
Further details
The town of Kas is only a 10 min drive away where you will find delightful shops and restaurants and a healthy nightlife during the summer months. There are so many varied and interesting sites to see and activities to try in the area and we are happy to advise and help you arrange day trips as required. Everyone should try a boat trip while in this area. There are private or group boats for rent that depart from the Kas harbour (or Kekova) and that head out daily for fishing, swimming, snorkelling, or relaxing with lunch onboard included. There are also evening cruises available and daily ferries that visit the Greek Island of Meis which is just 7kms off the coast of Kas. Other activities available in the area include canoeing, sea-kayaking, canyoning, paragliding, mountain biking, guided walking and mountain hiking excursions. You could also include a trip up into the mountains to the green lake at Gombe or to the historical sites of Xanthos, Tlos, Saklikent or Fethiye. Booking notes
At the time of booking, we ask for a non-refundable 30% deposit that once received constitutes a commitment to proceed with the booking. This is the only payment required until 10 weeks before departure. If, at the time of booking your departure date is in 10 weeks or less full payment is required. Payment in gbp by electronic funds transfer to our UK bank account. In addition, we request a refundable £200 cash breakage deposit upon arrival.

We have lived in Kas for many years and own a shop in the town. Over the past three years a lot of energy and love has gone into the restoration of this house and the gardens. We want our visitors to love it as much as we do and to ‘be happy’ that they have visited us.
