The fully air-conditioned two storey villa has 3 bedrooms (master bedroom with en-suite shower room), 2 shower rooms, and a well equipped kitchen and large living room. The rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished, having either marble or wooden floors. Large windows open out from the living room to an established garden and shady terrace. The villa is in the low-middle of the Resort and very conveniently placed close to but secluded from the many facilities available. The 4 pools, tennis court, hamam and sauna, gymnasium, health spa, restaurants, cafés and bars are all available for guest's use. The resort is set to the east of Kalkan village in the foothills of the Western Toros mountains which rear up behind the village to heights of over 900 metres, giving the whole village an amphitheatre setting. Kalkan still retains the charm and character of its old Greek fishing village heritage, with its narrow stone paved streets, bouganvillea clad buildings and many fine restaurants.

Notes on accommodation
The Resort has full time gated access and security.
The villa is considered to be safe and suitable for children.
The locally based villa manager will call and provide a welcome and give any information and assistance that you may require to make your holiday relaxing and enjoyable. He also provides the comfort of a 24-hour emergency call out service.
The villa is also suitable for winter holidays, as the air conditioning will also provide heating, if required. A stone open fireplace is in the living room and one in the master bedroom.
Accessibility
The villa is not really suitable for persons with mobility difficulties as it has external step access and internal stairs.
Outside
The Resort has a patisserie, 4 restaurants and 5 bars, some of which are poolside. It also has a tennis court, sauna, fitness centre, games room, spa and wellness centre, massage room, billiards, table tennis, jacuzzi, barbecue facilities, Turkish/Steam bath, hamam, outside pools and a hairdressing salon. Free wireless internet connection is available in public areas. Free private car parking is available.
Coast/Beach
Two famous beaches are close by to Kalkan. Kaputas, so often featured in the Turkish tourism promotions, with its brilliant blue waters and small sandy beach is about 5km east of the Resort. Frequent and inexpensive dolmuses pass by the Resort and beach taking about 10 minutes.
Patara's 10+km stretch fine sandy strand is renowned for being one of the few breeding grounds for Caretta caretta turtles. Patara is about 20km to the west of Kalkan and can be accessed by bus, taxi or hired car.
Special interest holidays
If water sports are your thing, we can provide these for you with Aristos Water Sports and C&C Scuba Diving, either in Club Patara or Kalkan. Kalkan has at least 14 dive sites with walls, reefs, wrecks and drifts with an abundance of varied sea life. Daily boat dives take certified divers out for a 2-dive morning. For novices we can arrange all levels of tuition and certification through PADI and CMAS, or for the first timers an introductory Discover Scuba. Book your wants in advance and get discounted prices and collection from the Resort. All diving gear can be provided. Through Aristos we can arrange water skiing, ringos, bananas, speedboat trips and jetski hire. The seas in Kalkan Bay can be unbelievably clear and blue and many areas within the Bay have achieved the cherished Blue Flag status. For those less actively inclined we can arrange leisurely gulet trips from Kalkan Harbour around the coast and islands, with lunch and a spot of swimming thrown in for good measure.
Travel
Most visitors to Kalkan arrive through Dalaman Airport, 135Km to the west. We can arrange transfers from the airport directly to the villa by private car or mini coach on your behalf or recommend weblinks for your use.
The area is well serviced with coaches and dolmuses and taxis are profuse around Kalkan.
If you want to to see ancient sites or the hinterland, car hire can be useful and economic. Advanced booking is necessary in high season; we can give you links to enable online reservations.
Distances
Kalkan village is 2km from Patara Prince and takes 5 minutes by car. Taxis can be booked through Reception. A walk from the Resort to Kalkan along the road takes about 15 minutes. Alternatively a water taxi regularly plies back and forth between the Resort and Kalkan Harbour during the day and evening.
The pretty and busy town of Kas lies 25km east of the Resort and can be easily and cheaply reached by using the coach and dolmus services passing the Resort's access road end.
Further details
Well over 100 high quality restaurants abound in and around Kalkan and catering for every taste in food. Many offer rooftop dining to give you fascinating sights of Kalkan at night. Through the efforts of the Kalkan Council and Association the Greek atmosphere of Kalkan town centre has been preserved. At night the well lit and safe streets are lined with characterful shops that stay open until the small hours waiting for that last sale or sharing glasses of tea with the passing potential customers.
5 major banks now trade in Kalkan offering all banking services, money exchange and ATMs. The new Post Office (PTT) is open late for postage stamps and money exchange.
5 well stocked supermarkets can offer a wide range of foods; many offer a delivery service for bigger orders. Small "markets" are still common and give a personal service from early morning until late at night. The weekly market is held in Kalkan on Thursdays and is a must for most visitors. Other markets are held in adjacent Akbel on Sundays, Yesilkoy on Wednesdays and Kas on Fridays.
There are many impressive ancient Lycian and Roman sites in the area, most notably at Patara, Xantos, Pinara, Tlos and Myra. Many smaller and less visited sites dot the countryside but may require a short walk to reach them. For the walking and trekking fraternity, the famous Lycian Way long distance trail winds around the hills and plains of Lycia to give superb daywalks with easy access and marked trails.
Other "must dos" in the area are the boat excursions from Kas or Ucagiz around the beautiful Kekova area and the trip up Saklikent Gorge, a vast gash in the limestone cliffs to the west of Kalkan.
Charter flights tend to be the cheapest means of getting to Turkey and are available from most airports in the UK. Alternatively some scheduled flights, easyJet and Turkish Cypriot, fly directly from Gatwick and Manchester.
Medical services with English speaking doctors, dentists and pharmacists are available in Kalkan.
Booking notes
A 25% deposit secures the booking, with the balance due 6 weeks before arrival. If the booking is made in the 6 week period before arrival, the full amount is due at the time of booking.
There will be a cost involved in transferring monies between UK (or other foreign countries') banks and the owner's Turkish banks. These transfer costs will be on renter's side. Please contact us for details.
