This beautiful, detached, spacious, luxury villa was built to very high standard, in local stone, approx 200/300m from the sea, in the quiet and most desirable area of Kisla Bay. There are fabulous views across Kalkan bay from all rooms. It is built on 3 levels with its own ground floor guest suite. Marble flooring throughout, and fully air-conditioned, own gated drive. Stone walled beautiful landscaped gardens, full of flowers and trees and bougainvillea with discreet lighting. Please note this villa is situated just above the Villa Mahal boutique hotel in the most sought after area of Kisla, (NOT a zoomed in sea view, miles up the mountain, like most advertised). The Villa is also fitted with a 45KV voltage regulator which is a must in Turkey as the 3 phase power supply some times be very erratic, and also a hugh water storage tank another must, as water cuts can happen, it also has a large safe for valuables and yale alarm system fitted. Internet access if you have a laptop.

Changeover day
Changeover days are Friday or Monday as most flights arrive these days but we can be flexible depending on bookings.

| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Towels and linen included (including some Beach towels). The villa is cleaned weekly with a change of linen weekly, daily maid service can be arranged at extra cost, also baby sitting. The pool and terraces are cleaned daily. |
Notes on accommodation
The villa is fully air conditioned (6 units) these units can be used for heating also. May not be suitable for small children/prams or the disabled due to many steps and levels.
Please note there is no smoking allowed inside the villa. The Pool is normaly commissioned for use between 1st May until 31st October, or earlier/later by arrangement. Cots and high chairs can be arranged (fee applies) as supplied by local hire company (cot linen not supplied).

Accessibility
Due to the hilly location the villa is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Outside
The villa has its own gated drive, and beautiful lanscaped gardens full of beautiful flowers/shrubs and trees with outside lighting. There is a private fresh water overflow pool 7m x 5m with integral Jacuzzi and underwater lighting, with 1.5m shallow end and 2m deep end with stunning sea and mountain views. Sun loungers, parasols, BBQ, undercover eating area with table and chairs.
Coast/Beach
The Villa is situated just above the Mahal Beach Club, an exclusive 'boutique' hotel. Guests staying at Villa Lydia have access to this club and its facilities.The Kalkan beach club is about 10 mins walk, also there is Club Patara all these have restaurants, bars etc and offer free water taxi to Kalkan Harbour. The nearest sandy beaches Kaputas which is about 10 mins drive or Patara, 11 Km of golden sand(voted one of the top 10 beaches in the Med about 20 mins drive or a bus from Kalkan.
Golf
There are no golf courses in the area at present.
Special interest holidays
Kalkan is in the Lycian part of Turkey and ideal spot for anybody walking the Lycian way. Local walks can be arranged through local tour operators. Also boat trips/scuba diving/water skiing/jet skies, can be arranged by the harbour.
Travel
The nearest airport is Dalaman about 1.5 hours taxi/minibus ride away, now open all year. Transfers can be arranged by us, (at very reasonable prices) so when the come out of the airport you will be met by the driver with a board with your name on it, so you can relax as soon as you arrive. Also we can arrange a car hire delivered to the villa from around £25 per day.
Distances
The centre of Kalkan is about 3 mins by taxi/car, walking will take about 15/ 20 mins. Free water taxi to Kalkan Harbour every 20 mins from beach club May/October. Kas is 27km away and Patara takes about 20 mins by car.
Further details
There is a small but very well equipped supermarket above Club Patara which is a very short walk away, which also changes currency, and Tennis courts which can be booked. These are open May through October. There are 2 large supermarkets in Kalkan which offer delivery service (if required) and several banks with ATM machines and post office, and many restaurants (about 150/200) offering some wonderful food and romantic roof-top/harbour settings. Deep-sea and Scuba diving, boat hire, water sports and leisure trips are readily available from Kalkan harbour and beach clubs.
Booking notes
To secure a booking a 25% deposit is required with the balance due no later than 6 weeks prior to departure. A loss and breakage deposit is also required of £200 at time of paying balance; this will be returned subject to no breakages or losses 10 days after return. In the event of you having to cancel loss of deposit will apply. Please note we do not have insurance to cover guests possession or personal injury. (holiday insurance cover highly recommended).
