This villa is a sympathetically renovated and extended mountain village property in a central location. It benefits from four double bedrooms each with air-conditioning, private large pool, plenty of terraces and outside space and a large private garden with olive and fig trees. The villa is arranged in such a way that it would enable two couples or families or maybe two generations of the same family who want to go away together to have a good set up during their holiday. This is because the accommodation provides some privacy: with two bedrooms and one bathroom on the ground floor in the renovated section of the villa; and two bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor in the new section. But in addition to this there are spacious living and eating quarters, inside and out, for socialising and communal living. The villa is not part of any bigger development. It is suitable for the more discerning visitors to Turkey who want to be in a Turkish rather than a tourist area.

Changeover day
We will be as flexible as we can be over changeover days subject to availability.

Notes on accommodation
For those who don't like the excessive heat the months of May/June and September/October are a good time to visit as the weather is a little cooler then.
Outside
The private swimming pool is very large at 4.5 x 8 metres and the deep end is deep enough for safe diving. It is surrounded by a spacious stone terrace. The mountains rise spectacularly in every direction. A gas barbecue is provided and there is plenty of outside furniture on the terraces. The garden will be tended to daily.
Coast/Beach
The villa is 14km from the nearest beach resort of Calis Beach where there is plenty of lively activity and is easy driving distance of the famous Olu Deniz beach and its protected national park.
Golf
There are golf courses within a 30 minute drive, near to Dalaman.
Travel
The nearest airport is Dalaman which is 30 minutes drive from the Villa. There is a good local bus service from Uzumlu to Fethiye. But in order to get full benefit from the area car hire is recommended. Car hire is available from the airport (the villa is easy to find) and there are plenty of taxi transfers offered from the airport too.
Distances
The nearest major town is Fethiye, an impressive and spectacularly located town where all the facilities of a modern town are to be found from hypermarkets to private hospitals. Beaches are nearby, fantastic boat trips run daily from Fethiye. Historical sites are ubiquitous in this part of Turkey and there is even an ancient site in walking distance from the villa for those who have the energy. Sporting activities of all kinds are nearby from paragliding to sailing to horse riding and more.
Further details
The village of Uzumlu itself has good local amenities including a small number of good quality restaurants and bars. There are several general stores, two barbers (all around 2 minutes walking distance from the villa), a doctors surgery and a pharmacy.
Booking notes
Bookings made by telephone or email will be held for 7 days after which a deposit of fifty per cent of the total cost will be required. The balance will be due 6 weeks before the date of arrival. Check in is 3.00pm on the day of arrival and check out is 10.00am on the day of departure, to allow for cleaning.
