These unique fully furnished apartments in central Fethiye enjoy their own micro-climate. Forested pine clad mountains surround the Bay area making it picturesque in all seasons. The Tuesday market (Fruit & Veg market also on Fridays) is just around the corner. The sea with its beautiful promenade at the bottom of the road has many restaurants/cafe bars and park seating areas open all year where you can sit and watch the world go by. Nearby are local shops to stock up on everyday essentials and buy your newspaper. There is an internet cafe close by, but Wi Fi is available at the properties.

Bedrooms: Large twin bedded room with small en-suite bathroom. Lounge next door has double sofa-bed. Bathrooms: En-suite off twin bedded bedroom and further larger bathroom (wet room) off hallway. Kitchen: Shared large kitchen downstairs - cooker, microwave, toaster, washing machine - fridge is upstairs. Kettle provided for hot drinks. Living room: Pretty lounge with satellite TV (many films and English programmes) plus DVD player. Sofa bed. Sympatheticly decorated with Turkish antiques lovingly collected by the owner over the years. Utility room: Iron and ironing board. Linen/cleaning/towels: All linens and towels provided - changed weekly. Cleaning once a week. |

There are two balconies, one for hanging washing out and the other for reading or sitting/dining alfresco.

Easy car parking outside the property - garden surrounds the apartment.
Coast/Beach
Nearest beach is at Calis approx 3 kilometres away. Other local bays include Aksazlar Cove; Samanlik Cove; Kuleli Cove; Boncuklu Cove. If you have a car, the choice is unlimited in quiet, secluded and turquoise bays just a short drive away. Can be reached by local dolmus. Olu Deniz with its Belcegiz Beach and Blue Lagoon is a dolmus ride away. Gemiler Beach is at the end of Kayakoy village.

Skiing
Newly opened ski-ing resort on the Eren Mountain (Erendag) opened in January 2011 - the Sports Centre can be reached by car 74 kilometres on the Fethiye/Antalya highway within the boundary of Seki town. Altitude 2861metres high. Snow usually falls at the end of October and continues until the end of April. With the ski-lift system skiers will reach 600 metres in less than 4 minutes and then ski down. There is more than 30,000 square metres of land for th enjoyment of ski-ing enthusiasts. A chalet has been built along with other amenities at the height of 1960 metres.

Travel
Dalaman airport is the nearest at just 45 kilometres away or 45 minutes drive.
Rhodes is within easy reach by Catamaran/hydrofoil service from Fethiye or the Greek island of Meis is half an hour boat ride from Kas.
Distances
There are so many interesting places to visit it is difficult to know where to start. Maybe the world famous Olu Deniz beach & blue lagoon, or Butterfly Valley, Hisaronu, Kaya Koy, Gemiler Beach & St. Nicholas Island, Calis Beach, Uzumlu, Kalkan, Kas, Gocek famous with its celebrities and yachting fraternity to name but a few. For famous nearby archeological sites these include Kayakoy, Pinara, Xanthos, Letoon, Patara, Sidyma & Cadianda to name but a few.
Further details
Fethiye is situated in a C shaped bay with Sovalye Island within. Within the old town of Paspatur (pedestrianised) are carpet, gold, silver, antique, gift, souvenir, spice, leather and clothng shops including an Old Haman and Turkish barbers. There are also bars and restaurants to suit every palette and purse. Don't forget to visit the famous fish market. Fethiye has many banks, ATMs machines, change bureaus, chemists, supermarkets + doctors, dentists and 3 large hospitals.
The Lycian Rock Tombs are within the old city walls with its ancient castle and a new Kale Park Restaurant with spectacular city views are all within walking distance. The newly renovated Fethiye Musuem is also worthy of a visit.
Neighbouring Calis is famous for its beach and amazing sunsets. There are also
numerous hotels and restaurants/bars, a great beach and waterpark nearby.
Get there with the local watertaxi every half an hour from the centre of Fethiye to the centre of Calis - just half an hour.
Daily Boat trips from the harbour visit 5 islands including lunch for around £10 per person. Travel outside Fethiye to experience the "real" Turkey with small villages like Uzumlu, Ciftlik, Yaniklar, Kargi, Kadikoy and many more. Visit Gocek where the rich & famous visit with their boats. Visit the waterfalls at Yakapark, the ancient city of Tlos and the amazing gorge at Saklikent. En route there is also a carpet co-operative where you can learn all about the history of the Turkish carpet, the weaving and dyeing process - see the village ladies at work - and then, should you wish, have the opportunity to buy these beautiful products.
Other places include Kayakoy the pre 1923 abandoned village where the Greeks and Turks lived happily side by side. Further down the Turquoise coast are the pretty resorts of Kalkan & Kas. Dalyan & Koycegiz are also lovely places to visit with Iztuzu Beach famous for the loggerhead turtles, Caunos and Mud Baths and more.

20% non-refundable deposit at time of booking. Full payment 10 weeks before arrival date. Early payment can attract a discount. £100 refundable security deposit to be paid one month before arrival. Deposit amount depends on length of stay. For longer lets a larger deposit is required. Ask the owner. Transfers to and from the airport can be arranged. Utilities metered.

About the owner
In 2011 over 30 million people visited Turkey for its distinguished historical, cultural, archaeological and natural beauty. The food and climate alone make it an ideal choice. I have been visiting Turkey since 1973. I began to live out here permanently in 2002; first in Datca, near Marmaris, but the last 8 years I have made my home in Fethiye. I have travelled extensively all over Turkey along the Mediterranean coast as far as Syria, along the Iraq, Iran, Armenian and Georgian borders. I have also travelled all along the Black Sea coast, visiting Istanbul many times, Kayseri & Cappadocia etc. including the Dardanelles and Galipoli. In November 2010 I spent a month in Syria & Jordan as they are close neighbours of Turkey. Come and see for yourself. 30 Million people could not be wrong.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
I moved to Fethiye in 2005 having lived in Datca for 8 years. I wanted to be in a bigger town which is 'alive and kicking' in the winter months. Fethiye provides this environment.
Unique benefits of the property
Fethiye enjoys its own Mediterranean micro climate. It is flat for easy walking - no hills or mountains to negotiate. Excellent for cycling (the owner has 2 bikes). The huge and vibrant Tuesday market is just around the corner. A fully functioning town "out of the tourist season" unlike many other nearby resorts - Hisaronu, Ovacık, Olu Deniz, Kalkan etc. Come and see for yourself.
