The privately owned and furnished Side Retreat offers all year round affordable holiday accommodation on a private community close to everything you need on holiday; especially a superb beach less than 10 minutes walk. Consisting of a fully fitted kitchen, lounge with sofa bed, two bedrooms, one double and one twin plus good sized safe balcony looking towards the main pool. There is also on site a children's pool, small shop on site and internet service. During the summer the community also has a cafe/restaurant by the pool. This is not 5 star accommodation but this is reflected in the very affordable price and does have a good sized pool, security and shop on site. I guess one can say cheap and cheerful. However this apartment is furnished to an excellent standard throughout and is further compensated by its excellent location close to the beach , shops, bars and restaurants. From the beach one can promenade into historic Old Side.

Plus we are flexible on dates and duration of stay
There are no additional costs but rates do change depending on various factors, such as length of stay discounts, especially during the quieter season. All payments are lodged in a secure RBS bank account until the holiday is complete and only then paid to the owner.
Changeover day
Our change over days are flexible.

Notes on accommodation
The privately owned accommodation has been privately furnished with attention to even the smallest items such as tea pots as befits for ones own use and we ask guests to respect this. Fully air-conditioned and very well appointed, all guests need are their own personal belongings. We do not pretend that this is a big luxurious home in a 4 star community, but I reiterate that it is a well furnished private home and thus offers exceptional value as a holiday destination in a secure, well positioned community. if you want to relax by the pool that is great, and the onsite store is always well stocked. But close by are a wide selection of good restaurants and bars. Down on the beach is our favourite Shanty Bar where the food and service is first class. Plus if you book through us they give you a free beach sun bed and free pick up and drop off service, useful during hot summer days.
Outside
The small community of private apartments have the benefit of a number of on site facilities. There is a main pool, a small children's pool, shop, concierge, and internet station, ideal for those who want to totally relax. Beach chairs come with the apartment but around the main pool are plenty sun chairs for guests to use. Be aware we offer a very special benefit, the SIDE V.I.P. CARD, not obtainable elsewhere and this can easily save a family in excess of £200 over a two week holiday!
Coast/Beach
Side is blessed with two wide, long, sandy beaches, within easy walking distance of the apartment. Here the warm waters of the Mediterranean are calm and shallow, making it very safe for bathing. For the more active there is a full range of beach activities, or why not take a boat trip from many that leave Side Harbour daily.
Furthermore there are many other sites to see and things to do, especially in the mountains, a short drive away, and our local manager can assist making any arrangements.
Golf
Close to Old Side are some of the world's finest golf courses.
Within 20 minutes drive are at least 10 outstanding golf courses although peak season (not summer) it is advisable to book early.
Special interest holidays
Side is a remarkable small town dating back some 2700 years , and is steeped in history with magnificent roman buildings everywhere. Within short drives some of the finest Roman remains of old cities can be visited.

Travel
One does not need a car hire for the full duration if Side. We can arrange licensed private taxi transfers to and from Antalya airport from £45 each way for a family of 4 and we can also assist in finding you the best priced, most convenient flight packages. Car hire can be arranged on a daily basis as and when required for as little as £25 per day.
Distances
In our pre holiday information pack we provide details on local sites, shopping trips, etc. There is an excellent local transport system called Dolmus buses, which run frequently, cheaply, all day long. Much loved by all.

We are bonded and your payment is lodged in a secure clients account until the holiday is complete. This gives you complete security. We also have a large number of homes in side and if in the extremely rare case of an emergency we can normally find guests other accommodation of equal or superior standard. To reiterate there are several important benefits from booking through ourselves. Such as security; all payments are lodged in a RBS client account until the holiday is over. 3. Big, genuine savings in resort. In side our guests enjoy genuine, unavoidable in-resort savings through our unique side v i p cards and pre holiday information packs. Saving in many of the most popular restaurants easily reaches £100 per week. 4. Impartiality; because we have a selection of homes to offer rather than just one an owner can offer, we will seek to find the most suitable holiday home for your party. 5. Safety; in the rare event of a problem at a property we can transfer clients to a similar home. 6. Flexibility; in the event of the unforeseen we are flexible; e. G. When last year’s ash cloud occurred and a flight company went bust we rebooked all our guests on new dates. 7. High standards all homes are personally inspected by us to ensure a high standard. 8. In resort managers; all our homes are looked after by dedicated in resort managers who will meet and greet you for a walk round the home to show how everything works and answer questions; plus we are contactable, morning, noon and night, 24/7; before during and after your holiday.
Booking notes
Booking your holiday is a simple seamless process. A deposit of 20% is requested and being bonded it is immediately lodged in the clients account. Likewise final payment which is due some 10 weeks prior to the holiday commencement. We are contactable 7 days a week, before during and after your holiday to ensure everything runs smoothly. Payment can be in various currencies and methods to suit.

We are so happy that we chose to holiday in Side. Our cool, comfortable apartment was a short walk from the ancient ruins of Side old town. There is an Amphitheatre, old hospital, Apollo’s Temple where Mark Anthony proposed to Cleopatra. Next to it Apollo’s bar overlooking the historical harbour.Rosie & Ian

About the owner
We came to Turkey from a typical damp, cold, Easter in England in 2007, to go to somewhere warm. We chose Turkey because we wanted somewhere where we had never been before. We are both well travelled, and at the end of our working lives, wanted somewhere different to welcome the different generations of our families. As we can’t be in Side all the time, we want to offer the chance to other discerning holidaymakers.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
Turkey, is truly a fascinating and attractive holiday destination. Couple this with the amazing friendliness of the Turkish people, the low cost of living, the weather, the increasing number of available flights and so much more has made it probably the best value destination in Europe. I/we actually look after this and other homes in SIDE for others. We did have the opportunity to look after homes in other regions but could find nowhere better and I personally want to go to sleep at night comfortable in knowing guests will be happy.
Unique benefits of the property
. It’s elevated site means panoramic views, peace and privacy, whilst the location provides easy access to great beaches and nightlife and a relaxing haven for couples or families to enjoy their hard earned holiday! The amount of space, inside and out, was also a huge attraction. The apartment is clean, light and spacious and the attractive walled garden and pool area is a great asset. Also, as the apartment overlooks the pool, older children can play whilst being supervised from either the balcony or the lounge.
