Coast/Beach
Great beaches, warm turquoise seas, water sports and rides, (especially at Gumbet) plus a water theme park in Bodrum. 5 minutes drive to your nearest beach.

Travel
Bodrum/Milas international airport 45 minutes drive. You can book various excursions, boat trips, car hire etc at reception on site. There is a regular shuttle bus to and from Hillview Gardens to the local town of Yalikavak (10 minutes drive)where there are other local buses to surrounding towns and villages including Bodrum.

5-10 minutes drive to Yalikavak. 20 minutes drive to Bodrum town.

Further details
Hill View Gardens is very friendly, not very large and being owned by private individuals - some of whom are permanent residents - it’s not overcrowded. You have the choice of several well maintained community pools ranging from the main pool, adjacent to the restaurant and bar, to secluded pools and loungers tucked away in the grounds, including a good-size one close to Yasemin 32. The restaurant on site caters for all needs ranging from breakfast, lunch, evening meal and snacks and you can also take away your meal. There’s a rooftop bar which provides an ideal place to watch over the children in the pool during the day or to watch the stunning sunsets over the Aegean Sea in the evening. The on site mini-market provides all your daily requirements. There are large supermarkets a few miles away, providing a full range of products just as you’d find in the UK. On site is a twenty four hour reception to help out with any requests. All you need do is chill out and enjoy yourselves. Apartment Yasemin 32 is close enough to but slightly away from the main pool and restaurant/bar area within Hill View Gardens. Yalikavak, described as the St Tropez of Turkey, lies at the north-west corner of the Bodrum Peninsula, 17km or 10 miles from Bodrum and used to be a fishing and sponge divers village. The permanent inhabitants of Yalikavak number around 6,800 people. This fertile coastal region is ideal for sailing and all water sports and attracts many foreign yachts to the harbour that once sheltered mainly fishing boats. Yalikavak is renown for superb sunsets and its unspoilt shoreline and sparkling clean sea is one of the few remaining abodes of the endangered Monachus Mediterranean seals and therefore a protected area. In 2002 Yalikavak Bay was awarded the blue flag for its clean waters.

Enjoying a turkish tea!

About the owner
My husband and I live in England and since our two grown up boys have left home we have travelled to different places every year. However, when we visited Turkey on recommendation by friends who own property in the same area, we fell in love with this apartment, particularly, the views from the balcony and roof terrace and we decided to buy and use it as a relaxing retreat. We have visited twice a year since then at the start and end of the season as it is so breathtaking.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
This part of Turkey is not so touristy or developed as other areas of the southern coast and as such is not overcrowded. It has the advantage of only being 45 minutes drive from Bodrum airport. Yalikavak, just 5 minutes drive, is fairly small but beautiful with everything we need and the locals are very friendly and welcoming to visitors. There are numerous beaches, shops, restaurants and local markets to choose from in the area - accessible by car, taxi or local buses. There are plenty of water sports locally too and, of course, opportunity for sailing in one of the famous local 'gulets'. It's also great for families with children for the safe beaches, and many swimming pools on the complex.

Unique benefits of the property
Hillview Gardens nestles high up on the hillside with magnificent views of sea and countryside all around but it is still only a short drive to 'civilisation' and the beaches. We have watched the gardens on the complex mature over the last few years to the lush beauty they have now. If you seek peace and quiet it can be found here out of the high season. But, if you prefer a bit more excitement and company then visit in July and August when it's hot and vibrant! You don't even have to move from the hillside if you don't want to! Hillview is a gated community with a few permanent residents. There are good reception staff on hand to help with all your needs, including trips, activities, car-hire and any emergencies that may arise.
