Villa Palmiye is a beautiful, spacious, detached villa, 200m from the sea, offering fabulous views over Kalkan Bay. 4 bedrooms are in the main house, 3 doubles and 1 twin with a further twin bedroom and kitchen in the separate annex. The villa has been decorated in a modern, style offering a taste of simple luxury. All bedrooms have en-suites and air conditioning, balconies or terrace. The kitchen, is fully equipped including dishwasher and washing machine. There is a plentiful supply of good quality crockery and cooking utensils. The lounge area has a large plasma TV, DVD & CD player and telephone with free internet connection (own laptop required). There is selection of DVDs and CDs. The private pool overlooks the twinkling blue bay beyond. The large terraces have been furnished with softly cushioned sun loungers, built in BBQ, stone built pergola and shaded areas. Being on the West facing side of the bay, you can be guaranteed all day sunshine and watch the fabulous sunsets

A security deposit of £250 is payable at time of balance.
Kalkan's main tourist season is from May till the end of October. Although some remain open the majority of shops, bars and restaurants close during the winter months.

Notes on accommodation
The villa does have an infinity swimming pool which may not be suitable for young children. There are 2 sets of steps to the main house and terrace.
Smoking is not permitted inside the villa.
Cots and highchairs can be pre-booked via Kalkan Concierge.
Car hire can be arranged and delivered for your arrival.
Accessibility
Unfortunately, due to the location of the villa and steps leading up to the terraces, in our opinion, the villa may not suitable for wheelchair users or pushchairs. However, if you feel the villa will be manageable in your circumstances, you are indeed welcome more than welcome to book.
Outside
Private Swimming Pool 9m x 5m with a shallow end of 1m and a deep end being approx 2m. Built in BBQ. Outside granite dining table, seating 10, large stone pergola, offering shade, soflty cushioned Loungers and umbrellas and comfortable armchairs for pre-dinner drinks. Table Tennis table. Contemporary outside lighting.
Coast/Beach
The villa is approximately 200m from the sea. Kalkan beach club is just under 10 minutes walk down hill from the villa. They have a restaurant and they operate a boat service to the harbour. Villa Mahal, which is another beach club is also 10 minutes walk from the villa.
The nearest sandy beaches are Kaputas which is a 10 minute drive or Patara, 20 minutes drive. Patara has over 11km of golden sand and has been voted one of the top 10 beaches on the Med.
Golf
There are currently no golf courses in the immediate area.
There is a course being built in Dalaman.
Belek is currently the nearest golf resort which is 4 hours drive from the villa.
Special interest holidays
Kalkan is in the lycian region of Turkey, an ideal stop for anyone walking the Lycian way. Local walks can be arranged with the months of May and October being ideal weather conditions.
Travel
The nearest airport is Dalaman, with a journey time of aprroximately 1 hour 40 minutes. (130km). Airport transfers can be arranged with Enes Tourism. Please enquire for up to date rates. Car hire can also be arranged and waiting for you on arrival at the villa from £25 per day.
Distances
The centre of Kalkan/Harbour takes about 3 minutes by taxi. As all of Kalkan is hilly the walk will take about 25 mins. Kalkan is in the heart of the Lycian region and there are many historical sites close by to visit. The ruins of Patara, still being excavated and Xanthos, formerly the capital city of Lycia, are a 25 minute drive.
Further details
There are plenty of supermarkets in Kalkan. There are Banks, with cash points and a Post office.
The restaurants in Kalkan offer a very high quality of food and service, many with romantic roof terraces. Kalkan's cobbled streets become an Aladdin's cave with an abundance of shops, selling clothes, jewellery, handbags, gifts etc.
There is also a weekly Thursday market.
Booking notes
Deposit required is 20% Balance due 6 weeks prior departure
plus £250 loss and breakage deposit.
Cancellation charges :- up to 6 weeks prior to arrival loss of deposit.
Between 6 - 2 weeks prior to arrival 50% of rental cost, between 2 weeks and departure 100% of rental cost.
Please take out travel insurance at time of booking to cover you in the event of a cancellation due to illness etc.,
