This 4 bedroom villa, completed in May 2010, is situated on a small complex of privately owned villas and apartments in a beautiful hillside setting. The property has private pool with jacuzzi, large covered veranda with barbecue for al fresco dining and landscaped gardens. Inside there is a spacious open plan living area with fitted kitchen. One bedroom and shower room are situated on the ground floor. A further 3 bedrooms, one with en-suite and jacuzzi bath and a family shower room are situated upstairs. The villa is fully air conditioned and centrally heated for all year round use. At present, the nearest shops and restaurants are 10km away in Kemer, a traditional Turkish town with a busy Friday market. It is worth visiting Esinti, a hilltop restaurant with amazing views over the town and mountains. Calis and Patara beaches (40km) the town of Fethiye (36km) with its busy marina, the Saklikent Gorge and Tlos are within easy striking distance.

Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible. The property is available from 2pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by noon on the day of departure.

The nearest beaches are at Patara and Calis which are both approximately 40km away.
Travel
The nearest airport is at Dalaman, 1½ hours drive away. Car hire is essential, but can be organised by the owner with local companies from £160 per week. Larger cars/people carriers are also available.

Distances
The nearest town is Kemer 10km, a small traditional Turkish town with a busy Friday market. Fethiye, with its busy marina is 35km away. From here you can take a selection of touristic boat trips around the 12 islands in the bay or hire a boat privately for fishing or relaxation. The gorge at Saklikent and the Lycian ruins at Tlos are within easy striking distance.
Booking notes
A 25% deposit secures the property, with the balance becoming payable 8 weeks before departure. A breakage deposit of £100 is payable on arrival.

About the owner
My husband and I are childminders living in the northwest. We have been working together for 17 years and look after children from a few months old until they no longer need our care, usually at 12-13 years old, which makes for a very extended family! We have 3 grown up children of our own.
We first visited Turkey in October 2005 on the recommendation of a Turkish lady working in our local travel agency, who organised our stay in Olu Deniz. We were surprised by how green and lush the countryside was and were so taken by the warmth of the Turkish people that we made a rather spontaneous, but not regretted, decision to buy an apartment by Calis beach off plan.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
In spring 2007 we returned to the area to see what progress had been made on our apartment and were taken by the construction company to visit a new site they were developing in the countryside. I was just ‘blown away’ by the views and still have that same feeling each time we go. We weren’t sure we could afford to buy the villa and had a ‘get out clause’ written into the contract, but we are so glad that we managed to go ahead.
We love the area for the wealth of things you can choose to do if you are feeling energetic and the relaxed atmosphere when you’re not. We love Fethiye bay for the interest the islands offer and for its beautiful sunsets and we love to see snow on the mountains for part of the year whilst we are basking in the sunshine.

The position of the villa offers the choice of a quiet, private holiday, relaxing by the pool or a more sociable one, joining other owners and guests around the communal pool and bar, which are situated higher up in the complex.
