Villa Sahin is set in its own private grounds and is very tranquil. Recently built, the villa is a combination of European and Turkish style externally, partially built in the soft cream local stone with arches and wrap around first floor balconies. Internally the decor is contemporary, with travertine marble floors throughout. The villa is set in the foothills of the Taurus Mountains overlooking Kalkan and Patara Beach, and is a short drive from Kalkan. The villa is air-conditioned throughout, and the five large double bedrooms all have marble bathrooms and access to the wrap-around balconies via french windows. A good sized kitchen, shade and sun areas, an outside chill out area for lounging in the shade, inside and outside entertaining, gas BBQ, a sultan terrace, sparklingly pool with deep and shallow end, large white umbrellas, wooden sun loungers, dishwasher, washing machine, iron and broadband internet access and private parking. A TV, DVD and good GPRS phone signal.

Our changeover day is Monday, as the best choice of flights to Dalaman are available on this day.

| Bedrooms: | All bedrooms are air-conditioned, four doubles and one twin. Bedroom four has its own sultan terrace and feature wooden ceiling. All bedrooms have good storage and mirrored wardrobes. Great views and all have french windows leading to balconies. |
| Bathrooms: | All bedrooms have large luxury bathrooms in travertine marble. All bathrooms have showers only (no baths,) WC and sinks, bedroom one also has a bidet. Four bathrooms are en-suite, the ground floor bathroom is for Bedroom 5 (twin) and general use. |

Notes on accommodation
Villa Sahin is fully air-conditioned in every room. Internally there are marble floors throughout and in common with most other villas these can get slippy when wet, care does need to be taken with young children running in and out of the villa from the pool. The villa operates an internal no smoking policy at the villa, it is of course fine to smoke outside on any of the chill out and relaxing areas - we would be grateful for your cooperation. Although the villa is stunningly located on the top of a hill, it is easily accessed and does not have a steep drive. However there are stone steps leading to the front door, so if you have mobility problems this villa is not the one for you. The villa is partially set within a walled garden with its own fig, lemon and orange trees. Please feel free to pick the fruit and enjoy if you wish. You will need a hire car for your stay, although the local taxi drivers are friendly and happy to come to the villa for pick up and returns.
Accessibility
Villa Sahin due to its hillside location is not suitable for those with mobility problems. There is no wheel chair access - sorry.
Outside
The villa is entirely private and exclusive. Large partially walled garden with olive and fruit trees. Private drive and private parking to the villa. Has its own garage. Gas BBQ, large outside dining table and chairs seats 12 people comfortably. Further drinks area, chill out outside sofa and armchairs for watching the sunset or relaxing. Pool side dining table for four/six. Eight wooden sun loungers. Large pool with shallow and deep end. Top floor private Turkish Sultan terrace. Further small wooden table and wicker chairs under arches. First floor balcony has blue canvas rocking chairs and small tables.
Coast/Beach
Patara beach is a beautiful 20 minute drive away. Kalamar Beach club is a 17 minute drive. Other beach clubs such as Careta Careta are a 20 minute drive. Please note you will need a hire car or taxi to access the beach and beach clubs.
Travel
Dalaman airport is the nearest to the villa is just over an hours and a half drive away. It is important to organise your transfer before arrival in Turkey and car hire is essential unless you wish to take taxis everywhere.
Distances
Islamlar Village is 1mile away and a short drive to the famous fresh trout and meze restaurants. Kalkan Town with its wonderful harbour, shops, restaurants, nightlife and friendly people is a ten minute drive away. The must-see Patara Beach is a beautiful 20 minute drive away. The many other historic sites vary from 20 minutes to an hour, or a few hours if you wish to go further afield. Bustling Fethyie is just under one hour. Kekova Sunken city is a good hours drive away but worth it!
Further details
Eating locally in Islamlar there are the wonderful fresh trout restaurants. The food is basic but organic and so incredibly fresh - try the meze and the fish! In Kalkan there is a huge array of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets, half the fun is choosing. Most restaurants will be happy to cook anything of your choice and cater for vegetarians too. There are five supermarkets in Kalkan,but do shop for fruit, vegetables and meat at the butcher and the green grocers - far more beautiful produce than the supermarket. There are now many banks in Kalkan, all very helpful and most of the staff speak English to help you along if you need to speak to anyone. There is a huge amount of choice of where to go, if you want a break from relaxing by the pool. There are some great classical sites from Patara, conquered by Alexander the Great and the Romans, Tlos, Xanthos, Letoon and many others a little further away. Try going to the unmissable Kekova and take a boat trip over the sunken ruins, eating fresh crab and fish cooked on an open fire. Or a short drive to Saklikent Gorge and eat pancakes on rafts in the river - if you like cold water it is great fun to take a rubber ring down the river and end up in a mud bath to enhance your complexion. If you feel stressed, do try a Turkish Bath or Hamman on arrival - perfect for men and women, an excellent massage and exfoliation will you leave you feeling incredible. Horseriding or quad-biking along the 12 mile Patara Beach, fishing, canoeing down the river, you can even get your PADI diving certificate at Kalamar Beach Club, a good choice of water sports is also available. Try taking a boat trip from the harbour, all the owners are very friendly and a good natured haggle over price is part of the fun. Kalkan market day is Thursday, and it is worth going just to hear and see the vendors with their 1,000 watt personalities - he fruit and vegetables are simply wonderful too!
