Asap Ev has it's own driveway, gardens, swimming pool and recreation/play area suitable for boules, volleyball, badminton. The accommodation comprises of 4 double bedrooms with en-suite shower room (1 with bath) and air-conditioning. Open plan living room/kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, hob and oven. TV, DVD player and i-deck. Balcony and terrace. Kosk (covered outdoor seating area). Wheelchair access - ramp from driveway to main door along terrace. The ground floor (including 1 bedroom and shower room) is wheelchair accessible. The village of Gokceovacik is in the Taurus Mountains just above the Turquoise Coast of the Mediterranean in southwest Turkey.

Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible, as are arrival and departure times. Just let us know when you are coming, and when you are leaving.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | All bedrooms have en-suite facilities and air-conditioning. 3 bedrooms are situated upstairs 2 have twin/double beds and 1 double bed. The downstairs bedroom has a double bed and would be suitable for a person with impaired mobility. |
| Bathrooms: | One en-suite has a bath and shower, the 3 other en-suites have shower facilities. There is a WC off the main shared living area. |
| Kitchen: | The kitchen is in the open plan living area and has a dishwasher, hob and oven, fridge/freezer, water cooler and washing machine. There is a large dining table which easily seats 8 to 10 people. |
| Living Rooms: | The large open plan living area has sofa, chairs, there is a TV, DVD player and i-deck. The sitting room has doors that open to a traditional kosk with cushions and a table for relaxing and eating. |

Notes on accommodation
Small children should be supervised at all times around the pool area and also on the balcony.
Accessibility
Ashap Ev has a ramp from the drive to the front door and the downstairs area including the bedroom and wet room is accessible and adapted to enable wheelchair users.
Outside
There is a private pool 5mx3m, the shallow end is 1 metre deep and there is slope to the deepest end of 1.5m. The poolside is natural local stone and has sunbeds with table and chairs. There is a recreation/play area suitable for boules, volleyball, badminton. There is a small portable gas barbecue. There are various small paths which lead round the garden and through flower beds and the vegetable growing areas. Peppers, tomatoes, aubergine, courgette all flourish in the garden, and an abundance of fruit, including melons, figs, almonds with grape vines and olive trees. You can help yourself during your stay.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is at Inlice and is 20 minutes drive down the mountain. There are fantastic coastal areas to explore nearby and along towards Fethiye, or towards Dalaman. The nearby town of Gocek has a marina and there are boat trips to the array of small islands in the bay.
Travel
The nearest airport is Dalaman, which is 40 minutes drive from the house. We can arrange an airport transfer. Car hire is essential, and we can assist you with this if required.
Distances
Gokceovacik is a quiet mountain village, Ahsap Ev is set in a nearby valley. It is a charming 20 minute drive down the mountain to the nearest town, Gocek.
Further details
The local town of Gocek is very cosmopolitan, shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars cater for European tastes whilst retaining their Turkish character. There is a market on Sundays that sells fresh produce. You can take a boat trip around beautiful Gocek Bay. Fethiye is 27km from Gocek and is built around a beautiful bay and close by are the remains of the ancient city of Telmessos. From Fethiye it is a short drive to Kaya Koy. This ancient mountain village has been deserted for over 80 years. It is well worth a visit. Dalyan is 40 minutes drive from Göcek, this is a seaside resort that includes the protected Iztuzu Beach, where the endangered Loggerhead turtles lay their eggs. A short boat ride through the river reed beds takes you to the c9th BC fortress of Kaunos and to the impressive Lycean tombs built into the mountainside.

Thanks for a fabulous holiday. You were the perfect hosts. We enjoyed our trips to Gocek but really we preferred to relax by the pool and enjoy the peace and tranquillity.

This is a perfect rural retreat – relaxing in the Kosk with the cicadas singing to one another with a gentle hill breeze is perhaps as perfect as it could be – for the children, however, the pool provides somewhere to let off steam.
There is so much to do in the area – beaches, boat trips and plenty of ruins from three millennia all within an hour’s drive – we spent the mornings out and the afternoons back at the villa.
We can wholeheartedly recommend Ashap Ev, it has all the facilities of home – plus the magic of the maid service. We will be back!
