Notes on accommodation
Set on its own, on a large corner plot with views out of the resort to sea. Palm 235 is away from the majority of rented properties on Patara Prince making Palm 235 seem more private and is quieter. Palm 235's large garden is not shared or accessed by any adjoining properties. The terrace and garden is lovely and feature Hibiscus, Bougainvillea, and Passion Flower amongst others. Within 200 metres of Palm 235 you will find the infinity pool - with children’s pool, clubhouse and tennis courts and a handy shop for groceries, all accessible from the top gate on the main road. Palm Tree Square is 50 metres from our apartment where you can take the complimentary shuttle bus which runs throughout Patara Prince Resort.
Accessibility
Palm 235 is not suitable for wheelchair users as there are steps leading to the apartment.

Patara Prince Resort facilities: Health spa, sport and swimming - 3 outdoor pools and 1 indoor pool located in the health spa. Relax and enjoy a sauna, jacuzzi, Turkish bath, beauty therapy or massage and for the more energetic there’s a gym, tennis courts and volleyball. Relaxation and Adventure facilities include - windsurfing, water-skiing, snorkeling, dive school, boat charters and shuttle boat to Kalkan. Behind the waters edge, are Balinese style massage tents, an Ottoman style open air relaxation room and sunbathing platforms with access to the sea. Beautiful gardens - enjoy romantic walks through landscaped gardens or take the shuttle bus running throughout the resort, whichever way, wonderful vistas await you at every corner. Dining on Patara Prince Resort - 4 restaurants to choose from and as our guest you receive 25% discount off your bill. Self catering - the resort shop sells the basics, for major items Kalkan has supermarkets and the Thursday market is a must.
Coast/Beach
Patara Beach with 11 miles of golden sand. Entrance to the beach is through the ruins of the ancient city of Patara, with a triumphal gate, baths, a theatre and temples. At sunset the beach is closed as it is one of the few places in the world where endangered Loggerhead turtles come to lay their eggs. Kaputas Beach is nestled at the foot of a striking mountain gorge. The water is always a brilliant turquoise blue. About 4 miles from Patara Prince hop in a taxi or get a dolomus from Kalkan.
Special interest holidays
Scuba diving - the Mediterranean with its warm, calm, tide free seas with great visibility make this area ideal. Mountain Trekking in the mountains of Lycia offers some of the most beautiful scenery in the Taurus range. Paragliding tandem or solo; take a trip to Kas where there is an excellent and well known paragliding centre. Horse riding - the ride begins at the stables in Patara and takes you along the river until you reach the beach, where you have a chance to cool off and have a swim. After this we continue our ride along the country tracks stopping for a while by a lagoon. As the horses tire we make our way back to Patara enjoying the beautiful views of Patara beach. KAS a town with life revolving around the town square and harbour with many restaurants and cafes to stop at and watch the world go by. It is worth noting that on the sheer rock mountain wall above the town there are a number of Lycian rock tombs, which are illuminated at night.

Closest airport is Dalaman, transfer time 1 hour 40 mins. Airlines include Thomas Cook, Easyjet, Jet2, Onur Air, Thomson, Monarch, Pegasus and Turkish Airlines. Taxi transfer charge £115 return for up to 3 people. Car hire is not essential but if you want to explore during your holiday, hiring a car is a good idea. £22 per day including tax, insurance and 2 named drivers from Dalaman Airport.

Kalkan, a Mediterranean town on the beautiful Turkish Riviera sitting at the foot of the Taurus Mountains. It gently rises from the bay and can be reached on foot, by taxi boat or by taxi from Patara Prince. Kalkan is charming with brilliant blue crystal-clear sea, ancient history and warm traditional Turkish hospitality. Narrow cobbled streets, lined with many shops and boutiques wind their way down to the pretty harbour and small beach. Kalkan transforms at dusk as it begins to bustle with activity. MYRA was a leading city of the Lycian Union and surpassed Xanthos in early Byzantine times to become the capital city of Lycia. TLOS best-known for its fortress-topped acropolis, with its rock-cut tomb-covered sides and its 360 degree panoramic views. As one of the six principal cities of Lycia and one of the most powerful. SUNKEN CITY OF KEKOVA - along the shore of Kekova Island are Byzantine foundations and ruins, partly submerged in the sea - the Sunken City.

Madeleine (Jun 2011) - wow this was the best holiday we have ever been on! There are lots of reasons for this. The apartment - beautifully decorated, cool and inviting. The weather - lovely and hot. Kalkan - very safe and friendly, our favourite restaurant was Doy Doy which we went to most. Saffron was also very good. The resort - is spectacular, the gardens are beautiful and the adult only pool was idilic. Thank you so much for lending us your beautiful apartment we love it here.
