Close by is the beautiful Aegean ocean which guests can reach by monorail leading to a private jetty sun terrace with bar, restaurant and water sports. The apartments are ideal for exploring Bodrum which boasts a Crusader Castle, fine restaurants and splendid seafront walks. The Peninsula itself has a breathtaking coastline dotted with many traditional and picturesque fishing villages and just 2 hours drive away is the magnificently preserved Roman city of Ephesus.

Discounts will be given for bookings of 3 weeks or more - contact the property owners by email or phone. For occupancy in excess of 4 persons at Redbud 10 please contact owner, as an additional payment will apply. Winter long term lets can also be negotiated with the owners directly.
Changeover day
Changeover day will be flexible to accommodate guests but premises should be vacated by 12 noon on the day of departure.

Equipment includes fridge/freezer, washing machine, iron and board,hob and extractor. Full range of cooking equipment/utensils, George Foreman 4 portion grill, BBQ - catering for four guests. Spacious open plan lounge opening onto balcony and grassed garden area. All rooms air-conditioned. Contemporary design furniture including two sofas (one doubles as sofa bed), coffee table, TV, DVD player and ipod docking station. Bedlinen and towels (but not beach towels) are included. Sun loungers and cushions provided also patio furniture and umbrella. Apartment cleaned throughout prior to arrival. Further cleaning and laundry services can be arranged on site at an additional cost. |

Notes on accommodation
However, for those wishing to explore the area, a regular bus service to Bodrum is available and car hire can be arranged on site. A professional 24hour security system ensures a safe environment for guests and their families. Free Wi-Fi internet services are available at the club house. Cots and high chairs can be hired on site at a small cost. This summer a special offer is available in the restaurant on site. 45TL for Breakfast and Lunch buffet, afternoon patisserie, beer, wine and soft drinks included. Children 0-6 free and 6-12 50% discount. A new a la carte menu is also now in place for the evening. A great place to try Turkish cuisine.
Accessibility
Although Flamingo CC is built to high standards, its hillside location might prove challenging to those with mobility difficulties. If there any concerns in this respect, the owners should be contacted direct.
Outside
Redbud apartment has a secure tiled balcony which can be accessed from both living room and main bedroom and affords panoramic views towards the lake and hills. An outside staircase leads to a large roof terrace which is ideal for sunbathing, barbecues and enjoying the spectacular views. Outdoor furniture and a BBQ are provided for the use of guests. Tulip is a ground floor apartment with tiled balcony which opens on to a grassy garden area with exclusive use, which makes it ideal for those with young children.Outdoor furniture and a BBQ are provided. The complex offers 18 shared pools, all with integrated children's pool and sun loungers Adjacent to the club house is a leisure complex which incorporates an indoor pool, mini gym, sauna, Turkish bath, massage and hairdresser. Other outdoor facilities include children's play area, tennis and volleyball courts, and ground chess. The bar area includes table tennis, pool table and an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers.
Coast/Beach
Within a short walking distance from the apartments is a monorail which transports guests to a private beach club. This is not a sandy area but a decked jetty style sun terrace with sun loungers and bean bags in abundance which allows direct access to the clear waters of the Aegean. The Beach Club also offers a bar and snack facilities, fishing and water sports. The picturesque Bodrum Peninsula has many attractive fishing villages with access to beaches, boat trips, water sports and diving.
Golf
Flamingo CC has its own 6 hole par 3 course (ideal for family entertainment) which is ideal for warm up practice before going on to the Vita Park Golf resort, Bodrum's only PGA standard golf course, which is 15 minutes drive away. The Vita Park Golf resort hosts two par 71 courses. The 'Milas' is designed in the style of a Scottish Links course while the 'Halikarnas' is a more Arizona style course. The Golf Resort has its own website where details of facilities and prices can be found.
Travel
Easyjet now fly direct from Gatwick to Bodrum. Flamingo CC is situated just off the main coast road midway between Bodrum and the Milas-Bodrum International airport. This newly built airport is just 25 mins away from the complex and Bodrum 30 minutes away by car.
Distances
Bodrum is about 25 mins from the Flamingo site by car and a bit longer by local bus (dolmus). The bus is a great way of meeting the locals who are only too happy to practise their English with you!
Further details
Bodrum, the nearest large town, has several historical places of interest to visit, especially the magnificent Castle of St Peter which dominates the harbour. The marina, around which the town is centred, has a good range of restaurants, cafes and bars and is ideal for a relaxing evening stroll. Daily boat trips operate from here and the Greek island of Kos can be reached in a day trip. Supermarkets, banks and traditional markets (Souk) are all to be found here.
The Halikarnas Disco in Bodrum is ideal for those wishing to dance the night away, as are the bars and discos in nearby Gumbet.
Booking notes
Bookings can be made by email or telephone to the owners direct. A non-refundable deposit of £100 will secure the client's booking and the final balance, together with a refundable deposit of £100 to cover accidental damage, is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival. Rental costs include a cleaned apartment on arrival, all utilities, bed linen and towels. Additional cleaning and laundry can be arranged at extra cost on site. Airport transfer can be arranged at a cost of approximately £25 one way.

The apartment was all we expected and more - we would hope to use it again.
Flamingo Country Club was of a superior standard to many resorts and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
We've been twice now and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. The resort itself is in a beautiful location and we enjoyed trips to Bodrum and to various other sites of interest. We'll definitely consider going again and have recommended it to friends.
We really appreciated the home comforts of Redbud 10 - thanks for a lovely holiday. We didn't want to come home!

About the owner
My husband, Andrew and I are people who enjoy travelling. We have been to many different countries and have loved each of them for different reasons but Turkey encapsulates everything in one country. Meeting people from different cultures is particularly enjoyable as we feel we have a lot to learn from them and their way of life. The Turks are very hospitable people - you get the impression they take great pride in welcoming you to their country and it is important to them that you gain a favourable impression. It is therefore a place where we feel safe and included.
Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
I first travelled to Turkey with a Turkish boyfriend in my twenties and thus began my love affair with the country (sadly, not the boyfriend!). Turkey is a wonderful country on many levels. It enjoys guaranteed sunshine throughout the spring, summer and into the autumn months. The Turks are very friendly people who readily welcome visitors - often into their homes for a cup of refreshing 'cay' (tea). Turkish food is delicious and very healthy - lamb is the meat most widely used along with a selection of vegetables and spices which turn an ordinary meal into an exotic feast. Turkey is also the home of some of the most impressive historical sites of great antiquity in the world - the ambiance at some of these sites can be quite eerie!
Unique benefits of the property
What is particularly enjoyable about the property is that you have various choices about how to spend your time there. You can stay on site and have a very relaxing holiday swimming, playing golf or enjoying the sauna and massage. There is a variety of places within walking distance where excellent food is served accompanied by stunning views over the Aegean. You can choose to travel into Bodrum on local transport and stroll around the wonderful marina or bargain with shopkeepers in the local souk or you can hire a car and explore the peninsula with its picturesque fishing villages and local markets and visit sites of important archaeological interest. There is something for everyone.
