Villa Samanyolu has the perfect combination of a pool and sea side location, it is spacious and wonderfully peaceful. The villa has a large private pool and features easy access pool steps and a poolside shower. Being saltwater means healthier with no harsh pool chemicals. There are sea views from all levels, the roof terrace leading from the master bedroom has panoramic sea views across the entire Kalkan Bay. This is the perfect place to sit under the stars and enjoy a glass of locally produced wine. The villa is in a good location with access on a quiet side-road. The villa has the benefit of having no road to the pool side and so no traffic noise when you sunbath. If you really do feel the need to catch up on emails or make Skype phone calls internet wi fi access is provided. The nearby sea front offers a number of beach clubs with water sports, cafe, restaurants plus a water taxi service to Kalkan harbour.

3 mins to Kisla beach club with free sunbeds/shades & water taxi to Kalkan harbour. Short walk to Mahal beach club. Water taxi to others in Kalkan bay - Patara Prince, Palm Beach, Caretta Caretta, Yali and Kalamar Bay.
Ten minutes by car or local bus to the stunning beach at Kaputas Gorge with its sandy shore and turquoise blue waters. 20 minutes by car or local bus to the famous 18km sandy beach at Patara renowned for the protected loggerhead turtles.

About the owner
I took early retirement in 2009 after nearly 30 years as a university lecturer in history. My intention now is to travel, relax and spend time with my partner Liz.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We acquired Villa Samanyolu as a holiday home after staying with friends in their lovely villa in Kisla. We love the area, the food, and the Turkish people are exceptionally friendly. I spent a week looking at a lot of properties and as soon as I walked into Villa Samanyolu I knew this was the one. Many of the other properties were excellent, but none of them had the feeling of being a home and a luxury one at that! Kalkan is a great little upmarket town with everything you need for a successful holiday. There's an abundance of restaurants of excellent quality and lots of things to do and places of interest to visit.
Unique benefits of the property
Villa Samanyolu is in a fantastic location with stunning views of the bay. There is a great bar/restaurant a few streets behind the villa together with a small shop. The town is within easy striking distance via water taxi, bus, taxi or on foot if you feel like an early evening stroll. The villa itself is very well appointed with a luxurious and yet homely feeling. I have no doubt you will sink into a relaxing routine. If you are anything like us this will involve sitting out under the stars in the evening enjoying conversation and a glass of one of the excellent local wines.
