Fidan 4 is set in a peaceful location, just a few minutes walk away from the beach, in this small, picturesque fishing village which has only been discovered by British holiday makers in recent years. The apartment, which is on the ground floor of a two storey building, has easy access to all amenities, including the local market, and great bars and restaurants for eating out, and provides all the facilities of a real home from home for relaxing. There are two large balconies with swimming pool and garden views, each with good quality outdoor furniture, which make a great setting for breakfast or dinner alfresco. The pool is shared, but our visitors are often fortunate in being the sole users, which also means there is plenty of room in which to place sun beds for that beautiful Turkish tan. A car is not necessary if you wish to remain in Turunc, but jeeps, motorcycles, and bicycles are available for hire should you wish to take a tour around the breathtaking scenery.

Changeover day
There are numerous airlines now flying to Dalaman, with a variety of arrival/departure days and times. Therefore, we want to be as flexible as possible with changeover days.
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 has a double bed with matching double wardrobe and drawers. Large balcony with views over garden and pool. Bedroom 2 has twin beds with matching wardrobe and drawers. Both are fully air conditioned. |
| Bathrooms: | Bathroom is fully tiled and includes whirlpool bath with over shower, toilet, basin and vanity unit. |
| Kitchen: | The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, washing machine, iron, ironing board, clothes dryer, water cooler and a juicer. |
| Living Rooms: | The lounge has two 2 seater settees, occasional furniture and feature fireplace. The TV with DVD player is also suitable for playing CDs. Sliding doors lead onto large balcony which is perfect for alfresco dining with table, chairs and cushions. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Linen, towels, and cleaning are included. Linen can be changed at your request and extra cleaning can be arranged as required. There will be a small additional charge for both extra services payable to our representative in Turunc. |
Notes on accommodation
Completed in 2006, Fidan 4 is on the ground floor and is suitable for families, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay, including a wide variety of excursions. The apartment is fully air-conditioned and we operate a strictly no smoking rule, which includes the balconies. We have a representative nearby who speaks excellent English and will be on hand to help with any queries you may have.
Accessibility
The property grounds are accessed by one step from the kerbside. Two steps from the outer entrance hall take you to the apartment which is on one level and is spacious. Turunc has a wonderful backdrop of hills and mountains, but the beach and local shops are located within level walking distance from the apartment.
Outside
The gated balcony takes you directly to the swimming pool and the apartment provides 4 sun loungers and an umbrella for your personal use. Quality outdoor furniture includes table and four chairs for the large balcony and a smaller table with two chairs for the bedroom balcony, each with cushions for comfort. The garden and pool are communal, shared between six apartments, however, the pool is often available for the sole use of our apartment. Disposable barbecues can be purchased locally and the space within the grounds makes an ideal location for its use and family entertainment. If you would like to dine at the apartment and prefer not to cook, the lady at the local shop can supply one of her freshly home made casseroles and will have it delivered to you - just place the order in the morning. The light from the pool together with a candlelit balcony and nicely laid table creates a lovely tranquil atmosphere in which to dine in the evening.
Coast/Beach
Turunc beach is a 10-15 minute walk away and has recently achieved the European Blue Flag Award. Its secluded bay with beautiful clear blue water is surrounded by stunning mountainous scenery and is lined with friendly restaurants. The larger resorts of Icmelar and Marmaris can be reached by bus or by boat within approximately 15 and 30 minutes respectively for those wishing to experience a busier area. There are numerous bars and clubs in Marmaris for those seeking nightlife.
Special interest holidays
Cycling and walking are favourite pass times of many visitors to Turunc and bicycles are available for hire.
Travel
Dalaman is the nearest airport and the distance to Turunc is approximately 120km. Transfer arrangements can be made for you at the time of booking, allowing you the opportunity to enjoy the magical scenery en route. Fees for this are payable to our representative. A car is not absolutely necessary during your holiday, as there are many forms of transportation for a reasonable cost, but we would recommend hiring a jeep for a few days to take full advantage of the surrounding scenery.
Distances
The busier town of Marmaris is approximately 20km along the coastline, and Icmeler just 10km. The remote and pretty beaches of Amos and Kumlubuk are just a few minutes drive away and worth a visit. Turunc, with its beautiful surroundings, and clear blue waters is the ideal place to relax and unwind, forgetting the every day stresses of life. Tour operators offer many excursions, some for the day, and some with an overnight stay or two.
Further details
Temperatures in the region are at their highest in July and August, but there are plenty of water sports including scuba diving and water skiing to help you cool off. Windsurfing, parasailing and dingys are also popular activities. Daily boat trips go to local sites of interest including nearby towns and secluded bays. The Five Bays tour is always fun. Visit the World Heritage site of Ephesus and although it means an early morning start, the archaelogical remains are spectacular and worth the effort. Turunc has a small variety of shops selling jewellery, clothes, shoes, beachwear and water-sports equipment. Minimarkets sell various goods such as traditional Turkish souvenirs and local crafts, teas spices and Turkish delights. On Mondays the market is in town. Marmaris has a wider assortment of shops and a huge market. Turunc is a smaller, quieter and more peaceful resort than most, and is a firm favourite with sun seekers who want to sample the simple pleasures in life in a timelessly beautiful setting. The pace of life is slow and comfortable and appeals to the family. It is a very safe environment for children and the Turkish people are very friendly. There are many restaurants in the village, and fresh seafood, kebabs and traditional Turkish cuisine are specialties. There is a wide variety to choose from to suit all tastes. There are several ways to get around in Turunc and the local area. Taxis, and buses are available in the town, or if you are venturing further, relax going by boat. If you prefer your own personal transport, the jeep is great fun and a convenient and ideal way to take in the scenery and find your way around. The beautiful countryside is ideal for cycling and hiking. Lira is the currency in Turkey, however most of the locals are happy to take Sterling if necessary. Several outlets will change your currency and there are cash machines within the town. The nearest and largest bank is HSBC in Marmaris.
