Akyaka, with its rugged backdrop of awe inspiring mountains, surrounding acres of pine forests, crystal clear freshwater river and exquisite Ottoman style architecture is just 40 minutes drive from Dalaman Airport. Akyaka is a nature reserve, scenically stunning and unspoilt but with an abundance of eateries. It's situated between Marmaris and Mugla, both 30 minutes away by bus. Both quite different towns. Mugla has a large traditional Turkish market and Turkish Baths. Marmaris has lots of nightlife and also good markets. There is a comprehensive tour programme available from the village. Captain's Tour Operators also offer trips to green lake at Dalyan or Akbuk Bay to practice your water skiing or have fun on a banana boat. Akyaka is an ideal holiday destination, great for both couples and families. It remains predominately a Turkish resort, and thus retains its delightful atmosphere. Most holidaymakers return year after year.

Accessibility
There is a ramp to the side of the property to enable easy access for wheelchairs and push-chairs, however wheelchair users will be restricted because there are several steps when inside the house as it is on three floors.
Outside
There is a garden with a barbeque, sun loungers, dining area and jaw dropping views across the beautiful nature reserve.
The property does not have its own pool, but the Ottoman hotel which is in close proximity has a swimming pool and that can be used freely for over 12s.
Coast/Beach
Akayaka beach is a 15 minute walk away. There is a long strip of typically course, yet not uncomfortable Turkish sand with sun loungers rented out by the owners of the seafront restaurants at your disposal.
At the far end of Akyaka beach is a place where you can rent out canoes, pedalos and windsurfs and the calm, shallow waters provide a safe environment for young children.
Golf
There are golf courses in Dalaman which is 40 minutes from Akyaka.
Travel
The property is walking distance from most places you would want to go in Akyaka, so a hired car is not really necessary unless you want to explore outside of Akyaka independently. There are tours such as jeep safaris up the mountains and boat trips around the bays. there is also a regular bus that goes from Akyaka to the nearby towns.

Further details
The property is conveniently situated at the top of Akyaka village, so is a 15 mins walk to the beach, however it is only a 5 minute walk to the local shops where you can get freshly baked bread, cooked chicken or just basic day-to-day necessities.
There are regular boat tours that leave from the port at Akyaka beach and travel round the beautiful bays near Akyaka. There are also jeep safari tours up the mountains and other various trips from Captins' Tour Operators, including a trip to the famous Cleopatra's Beach and the ancient island city of Kedreai.
