Kalimche is an exclusive group of villas situated on the outskirts of the harbour town of Gocek. The aim of the development was to conserve the existing vegetation and blend naturally with the environment. The villas' modern and unique design is based on a traditional Turkish style. There are spectacular views from the villa's terrace over Gocek bay. The semi-detached villa is built into the hillside with one bedroom and shower room upstairs, the kitchen, spacious living area and balcony on the ground floor, and two bedrooms, terrace, and shower rooms (one en-suite) downstairs. There is a sizeable shared swimming pool which is generally fairly quiet. The majority of the villas are owned by wealthy Turks who only visit for two weeks a year. The owner has lived in Turkey for the last 13 years and is quite happy to visit guests and recommend places of interest, give information about Turkey, walks and historical sites.

Distances
Known in antiquity as Lycia, the ancient sites of Pinara, Xanthos, Tlos, Cadianda, Letoon and Patara are well worth a visit and all within an hour's drive.
The deserted Greek village of Kayakoy. The subject of Louis de Berniere's book 'Birds without Wings'. Kaya is best seen in the evening when its evocative cobbled streets and crumbling houses look ethereal in the setting sun.
Fethiye's Tuesday market and eat fresh fish at the permanent bazaar.
Further details
Gocek is situated at the north west corner of the Gulf of Fethiye, which in antiquity was known as the Gulf of Glaukos after the famous Lycian general who fought in the Trojan Wars. This small, up-market, marina town is blessed with a magnificent setting, backed by mountains and pine forests, and looks out over the tiny islands scattered over the gulf known as the Twelve Islands.
There are no mainstream package-tour operators in Gocek - the town caters predominantly for the yachting community and independent visitors. Gocek’s guests come either from the yachts and boats in the harbour or the handful of boutique hotels and villas in the region. This makes for an eclectic mix of visitors of all nationalities.
The many waterside restaurants, cafés and bars provide a laid-back atmosphere where you can happily wile away a day watching the world go by.
In the backstreets and around the town square there is a surprising array of shops - colourful greengrocers, fascinating art and craft shops, carpet bazaars, exclusive jewellery shops and designer boutiques.
A 20-minute drive into the surrounding mountains is unforgettable – you are instantly transported from the modern world back to another era. The road climbs through an Arcadian landscape with olive groves, pine forests and tiny hamlets where the slow pace of life continues as it has for thousands of years.
