Villa Zouila - L'Olivier (2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4/6)

In our apartment L'Olivier you will find one bedroom with a double bed and one bedroom with two single beds and access to one of the terraces. There are two traditional bed sofas in the living room. The bathroom is quite spacious and has a bathtub with shower. There is a separate kitchen with gas stove and oven and a big refrigerator. In front of the house there is a terrace with many different plants.

Villa Zouila - Le Mimosa (2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4/6)

In our apartment Le Mimosa you will find two bedrooms with a double bed in each room. One of the bedrooms has access to the sealed off terrace facing East. There is also a double bed sofa in the living room. The bathroom is quite spacious and has a bathtub with shower. There is a separate kitchen with gas stove and oven as well as a big refrigerator. In front of the house there is a terrace with many different plants.

Villa Zouila - Le Citronnier (1 Bedroom, Sleeps 3)

Our apartment Le Citronnier has one bedroom with a double bed and a traditional bed sofa for a third person. The bathroom is quite spacious and has a bathtub with shower. There is a separate kitchen with a small dining area. There is a gas stove and oven and of course you will find a big refrigerator. There is a sealed off terrace with many plants.

Notes on accommodation
The apartments L'Olivier and Le Mimosa have air conditioning and central heating. Le Citronnier has electric heating and air conditioning. Families with children are specially welcome - all our terraces are sealed off, so you can leave your children playing without worries. We can also provide kots and high chairs for the very young ones. In our DVD library you will also find some entertainment for children of all ages.

Outside
Our apartments L'Olivier and Le Mimosa have two terraces each facing East and West. Le Citronnier has a terrace facing East. All terraces facing East are furnished. You can borrow a barbecue without extra cost.

Coast/Beach
Villa Zouila is at a 10 minutes' walk from one of the most appreciated sandy beaches of Tunisia. The beach has many different areas: immediately where you arrive when walking from our house there is small protective bay where families choose to stay since this area is perfect for small children. A bit further up, more sportive attractions are on offer during the high season: water ski, banana boat and paraglide.

Special interest holidays
Interested in learning how to cook à la tunisienne? The Tunisian cuisine is definitely much more than brik and couscous, even though these dishes can be prepared in many different ways. If you want to enjoy the warmth of North Africa while learning a different way to cook, please let us know. One of our neighbours, officially trained in cooking the national cuisine, will be happy to give you a course - or just cook dinner for you - for a small fee.

Travel
The closest international airport is in Monastir, 50 km from Mahdia. Monastir is mainly served by charter flights. It is also possible to fly in to Tunis Carthage, 220 km from Mahdia. We have quite a good grip of how to find a cheap flight from the UK - just ask! No matter where you arrive, our driver will be happy to pick you up! We are also cooperating with a car rental agency and can give you a price quote without obligations.

Distances
El Jem 45km. Monastir 50km. Sousse 60km. Kairouan 110km.
Tunis: 220km. We highly recommend a visit to the Roman amphitheatre in El Jem and a trip to Kairouan, both declared World Heritage by UNESCO. And for people with a sense for adventure, a trip into the Sahara desert will certainly be remembered for a long time!

Further details
There is a minimarket 200 metres from our house and the closest bakery is just a few minutes' walk away. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the old city of Mahdia, where you still find a number of traditional silk factories and several quaint coffee houses. Mahdia is also very popular for its balneotherapy. We will help you to find the best places.

Booking notes
A deposit of 30% of the total rental is required to confirm a booking. The remaining amount is to be paid 3 weeks before arrival. An inventory deposit of 100 EUR/£70 is to be paid upon arrival.
