The beautiful Mallorcan hamlet of Deia stretches out of the Mediterranean onto silver tinted hills of Olive groves blending into the parched red soil and the mist -drenched greenery, up to an ancient and majestic hilltop settlement. From Moorish times it has proven a welcome haven for travelers and in the last 100 years has attracted artists and writers keen to sample its famously languid lifestyle and leisurely temperament.
Barcelona and the Primavera Sound Festival

I travelled to Barcelona with a few friends, principally to attend the Primavera Sound Festival. The festival was a three day celebration some of the most underground, underrated, eclectic and downright weird artists and musicians from around the world. Highlights included blistering performances from the likes of Pulp, The Flaming Lips and Nick Cave's Grinderman. With an incredibly upbeat, laid back and cool feel to it, this yearly festival is an absolute must for any alternative music fan's calendar, located right next to the sea at the impressive Parc del Fòrum.
