Tongson Villas is a boutique luxury B&B resort with only 2 private villas and 1 suite. This means it is ideal for couples who want a more personal service away from the crowds. Both villas [Mango/Jasmine] have private hot spa jacuzzis on the terraces and amazing views over Tongson bay. They have large open style lounges which are mainly glass so the views can be enjoyed from inside, or outside in the spa pool. There is a large pool [shared] for cooling off and also a pool bar for those essential drinks.the 2 villas have an ajoining walkway so the villas can be converted to a large 2 bedroom complex . The Suite [Red Palm] has views over the pool area. Your hosts are nearby in thier separate own house to take personal care of all your needs.

Notes on accommodation
We have 2 price options. 99 pounds = self catering option. 150 pounds = villa including breakfast and a vehicle to explore the island tongson villas is a non smoking resort , absolutely no smoking is permitted inside the villas (outside and around the pool is ok and ashtrays are provided). Not recommended for young children (no pool fencing or on the terraces). Breakfast and a jeep are supplied with the super package deal. Tongson villas likes to be eco friendly as possible, so our waste water is recycled to the gardens, we catch rain water, and recycle plastic, aluminium, tin, paper, glass and we encourage our guests to help in any way possible.
Outside
Villas have the private hot tub spa jacuzzis on the terrace (wondeful to relax in with a glass of wine whilst gazing at the lights of the fishing boats in the sea). Tropical gardens with outside showers and sunbathing areas, covered terrace with table and chairs.
The large 10 x 5 m pool is behind the villas and (shared) it is a salt pool which is much nicer than a chlorine pool to swim in as it does not affect your eyes or skin. It's great for cooling off or sunbathing. Also there is a poolside bar to order a cold beer or cocktail.
A BBQ is also close by the pool for guests use the whole pool area is surrounded by tropical gardens and edible things like bananas, papaya, lemongrass, mango.
The Red Palm suite has a small gardened terrace, semi private next to the pool.
Coast/Beach
As we over look Tongson bay this is accessible by walking (10 minutes) or driving the same. Also close by is Samrong bay,[secret beach] also 10 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive.
Choengmon Beach (considered the best by many) is only 10 minutes drive away, then further to Chaweng beach and Lamai. Or heading the other way takes you to Big Buddha beach (15minutes drive), then on to Bophut beach (fishermans village). The beaches on the south of the island will take approximately 45 minutes driving.
Golf
Koh Samui has 2 golf courses on the island.
Special interest holidays
Tongson villas has its own private speedboat so if you need to go diving, snorkelling, water sking, wakeboarding, or just a private tour around the islands, just let us know and we can organise it for you. Also as a start to your holiday spa retreat try relaxing in the hot tub and let the massage jets sooth away your aches before that essential massage.
Travel
Tongson Villas is 10 minutes drive from the airport.
We provide a free pick up and drop off service for all guests.
Transport is not essential, but highly recommended (either car or bike).
With our super package deal we supply a vehicle with the rental price.
The island takes about 1 to 2 hours to drive/ride around, not much chance of getting lost.we normally sit with our guests after arrival and give a detailed description/tour of the island map to get you orientated before you venture out

Tongson Villas are able to organise all activities that you may require - diving, sailing, snorkelling, wind surfing, kite boarding, flying fox, atvs, elephant rides, jet skis, cooking, massage etc etc. We can organise for you or can advise from our experience and past guests where to go. When it comes to dining out then the list is endless, let us know your tastes and we can advise.
Booking notes
Tongson Villas require a deposit of 50% made by way of direct credit to our account. The balance to be paid upon arrival (we do not have credit card facilities).

About the owner
Dean and Irit Cleeton. Dean comes from New Zealand, spent 5 years traveling Europe and Africa before returning back to NZ with his wife. Irit comes from Israel. After living in New Zealand for 15 years as a goldsmith, we sold up and moved to Samui island in the gulf of Thailand.

Why the owner chose a guest house in this location
We purchased a plot of land on the last day of a 5 day holiday [totally on the spur of the moment].
Went back to NZ and wondered what we had done, but the views were fantastic and the weather a warm 27 degrees all year round [even when it rains]. This was to be our retirement dream.
Some 8 years ago we sold up in NZ and moved to Samui to design and manage the construction of the villas which we now rent out to our clients. All our friends thought we were mad. Now most of the families have been to visit and find that we weren't so mad after all [and maybe they might be the mad ones]. Thailand is so inexpensive and laid back, with fantastic food, beaches, who could ask for a better place to retire [semi retire !].
Unique benefits of the property
Tongson villas is close to all amenities but when you return its so very peaceful, and the views are stunning. We have our own private bar, pool, and most people don't cook while here, so we can provide breakfast [or restaurant delivery is also available]. There are many beaches close by, and the dining on the island is enormous, from small roadside stalls selling thai food [the best] to five star restaurants selling food from all varieties. The private hot tub jacuzzis are our selling point [we bought them all the way from New Zealand]. We have our own motor boat so we are able to offer private tours and watersport activities. We believe our personal experience by living here is our best asset, a home away from home, a safe and inexpensive holiday in the gulf of Thailand.
