This is an 'end' town house with front and side gardens, with seating. The downstairs is open plan and consists of living area, dining area, kitchen and a half bath. Upstairs there is a large master bedroom which has 2 balconies, a double guest room and a bathroom. For night life, shopping and more beaches, Chaweng is a 15 minutes drive away, as is Tesco hypermarket and multi screen cinema and bowling alley. The house is only 5 minutes from the airport. It is only 15 minutes to the Santiburi Golf course and country club. Water-sports and diving only minutes away.

Notes on accommodation
My property manager, Bee is very helpful and friendly and will assist with any questions or problems. There is a spare fan in a cupboard in the master bedroom if required. Also an umbrella and a cool bag with 4 ice packs. The oven is a very small 'top of the counter' type one. The microwave was purchased Aug. '10. With so many great restaurants and cheap, lovely Thai food I always eat out. If you wish to have more English channels on the TV my manager can arrange it but this would add to the cost of renting. Any rentals of 4 weeks or more would have to pay for electricity used. There is an ADSL point in the main bedroom, but the telephone is not connected, so there is no internet access in the house, however "Blue Chip Wireless" is a company who provide internet service. You can purchase cards from them for internet access for a variety of time periods from 7 days upwards.
Outside

Coast/Beach
Two minute walk to the local beach. 5 minute drive to Fisherman's Village beach, 15 minute drive to Chaweng beach. There are lots of other beaches within quick driving distance.
Golf
It is only 15 minutes to the Santiburi Golf and Country Club which sits in the hills above Maenam. A world class full 18-hole international course. Other places to golf are The Samui Extra Golf Club and the 18-hole Mini Golf International. For family fun check out Crazy Golf.
Travel
Airport transfers organised. Koh Samui airport 4km. Ferry Bangrak 5-10 minute walk. Ferry to mainland, every hour from Nathon pier about 40 minute drive. Car hire is recommended if you want to get around the island and visit other beaches and places.

Chaweng, the main town is 15 minutes drive away.

About the owner
I live in England. I love travelling and still go to visit new places but Koh Samui is one place I go to every year.
When I first went it reminded me of when I lived in Singapore as a child, and I think that is why I fell in love with the place.
Year purchased: 2005
Why the owner chose a home in this location
I first went to Koh Samui in April '03 and fell in love with the place. Loved it so much I went back that same year in the summer and have been back every summer since, bar one year. I bought my house ‘on impulse’ - and I love it even more each time I go back. Initially I rented it out very intermittently the first year. The second year I had a long term tenant (Elle MacPherson's sister) then for the following couple of years I left it empty, going back in '08 to refurbish it. I enjoy the fact that everything I need is so close. The beach is very quiet and if I feel like a swim in a pool I can order a meal (whilst on the beach) from the Saboey hotel and use their pool. If you visit Samui - whether you stay in my house or not I am sure you will love this beautiful island & the people.
Unique benefits of the property
I like the fact that the house is so close to the airport, especially as I love watching the planes coming in and flying out. Sitting on the beach with a book and my ipod and watching the planes flying in is also great. There are so many great restaurants and bars within walking distance that I actually never bother hiring a car; if I fancy going to Chaweng, Fisherman's village or such I just get on Songthaews or get a taxi. There are shops, supermarkets, ATM's, money changers close by and a fish market. I also walk to the BBC restaurant - best sunsets on the island and to the Big Buddha - Samui's famous landmark a 12 metre golden Buddha, where there are also shops and restaurants. Just a 20 minute walk. Many of the trips are worthwhile too. A peaceful, relaxing holiday every time.
